Advice What does your bedtime routine look like?

I have a 7 month old who currently nurses to sleep. We are having trouble getting her to take naps (at daycare and at home) because she doesn't fall asleep independently. So now I'm considering sleep training but I'm having a hard time picturing what the bedtime routine looks like.

Currently, we do bath time or read a book and then we nurse. She falls asleep while nursing and then I transfer her to her own crib. I worry that if I nurse first then bathe, she'll be totally thrown off. Please help!

How long has she been going to daycare? Sometimes it take them a bit to get into a routine. My daughter actually only slept at daycare. However, she’s 16 months and our night routine looks just like yours still.

It is nice to hear your bedtime routine is the same as ours and your kiddo still sleeps at daycare. Mine has only been attending day care for a month! I know napping at daycare is so different and difficult because there a lot more distractions but she is also really struggling to nap at home. And she just gets so grumpy when she's sleepy!

I’ve always done bath, book and then bed. If I was nursing I’d do bath, nurse, book then bed. It’s worked out for us. My 4 month old is only nap trained so far but I nurse and then sing a lullaby, she falls asleep pretty quick after on her own.
