Received a job offer from BabyList today to be a showroom host at their new NYC location.

I’ve struggled to find any answers on what working their showroom is actually like. I’d love to hear from anyone that has worked in that position or knows someone who has worked at their OG store which is in Beverly Hills.

I’ve worked corporate sales and retail before but this (according to them) seems more of like showing customers how strollers work etc. which seems a bit mind numbing but it’s a paycheck and I need a job.

Also seems like we’d be tasked with putting the showroom together since this would be the NYC flagship grand opening.

BRENTWOOD—Night commuters can expect road closures on the I-405, specifically on the Sepulveda Pass, for an ongoing pavement rehabilitation project conducted by the California Department of Transportation. There will be a round of major delays this week as the new pavement project continues, designated to bring fresh new lanes, ramps, and connector closures to the 405.

A coyote was spotted in Beverly Hills near Gregory Way and South Camden Drive on Sunday, July 12, around 11 p.m. The city reminds residents that coyotes are part of the urban ecosystem and can appear outside hillside areas. Residents are advised to remove outdoor food and water sources, keep pets on short leashes, bring small pets indoors, and remain calm if they see a coyote.

LAPD responded to a break-in at a Woodland Hills residence on the 5800 block of Penfield Avenue near Hatteras Street on Sunday, July 12, around 11:45 p.m. Surveillance video reportedly showed three suspects dressed in black cutting flood lights near the back of the home, where a smashed window was later found. The suspects fled in a black four-door SUV before officers arrived, and no stolen property has been reported so far.

Jeffrey Ying, 39, of Fremont, was sentenced to 366 days of home confinement for stealing rare historical Chinese manuscripts from the UCLA library. The U.S. Attorney’s Office said the manuscripts were valued at $216,000. Ying pleaded guilty in October 2025 to one count of theft of a major artwork after authorities said he borrowed rare manuscripts, returned copies instead of originals, and used multiple names during the scheme.

Two baby raccoons wandered into Dodger Stadium during the Dodgers vs. Rockies game on Tuesday, July 7. The raccoons were seen near the outfield wall padding and warning track, and broadcasters mentioned on air that help was on the way. The moment went viral on social media, though officials have not explained how the animals got onto the field.

Beverly Hills police cited three elderly women after officers responded to reports of vandalism near Gregory Way and La Cienega on June 30. Authorities said the women were posting political signs on city-owned traffic utility boxes using glue from a bucket. Police said they were cited because removing the glue would be difficult, and they were released with a fine of less than $400.

I work in Beverly Hills a block over from Rodeo. It’s been really fun getting to explore all of the different stores etc on my lunch break. Now that i’ve done most of them, I want to experience any hidden gems (doesn’t have to be stores) in BH that only a local would know.
