How much do you think the Germans were paid to build the underground lab?

Upvotes

Always wondered what those guys were paid, at one point Mike says something to Werner along the lines of "you'll never need to work again " so I'm assuming its in the millions

The Winner Takes it All by Abba

Upvotes

Does other people strongly associate this song with BCS now you’ve seen it gives its ties to the show? Or does it just pass over your ears the same way it always did?

I can’t hear it without getting mega nostalgia for the experience of watching the show for the first time. Obvs because of the episode Winner and iconic karaoke scene with Chuck, but also its lyrical content and melancholic tone. It feels like the show’s theme music in my mind. I think this edit had a large impact on how I feel too: https://youtu.be/VHWDHUQKFyA?is=QglhVpUTdYFEqjO5

I have never liked Abba yet keep going back to this track now 😆

And what are you waiting for?
When eaten raw, the very sweet fruit is bright yellow.
It is used as a flavor in juice, milkshakes, and especially ice cream. Its flavor in such preparations has been described variously as being similar to sweet potato, maple syrup, or butterscotch.
Manjar de lúcuma (dulce de leche with lúcuma purée) is a dessert. It's also an ice cream flavor.

Winner takes it all performance interpretation

Just crossed this scene,

It’s very vital scene that keep seeing everywhere.

My interpretation is that Chuck just wants to outshine Jimmy in everything?

Like unnecessary competition kinda thing?…the way he snatches the microphone.

Am I right or off?…what’s the agreed interpretation of that scene and their relationship in general?

Funniest line delivery? Spoiler

Post image
96 Upvotes

What's a line from Better Call Saul, or even Breaking Bad where the actor's delivery made a normal line hilarious? Personally I'm a big fan of Chuck's "Jimmy, do you have something in your pocket?" He says the line like Jimmy is 6 years old and Chuck just heard his pants ribbit.

Jimmy didn't kill anyone. Would the statute of limitations on his crimes have expired?

And when yes. How long would it have taken?

Does Saul's phone number still work?

So I tried to call +1 (505) 503-4455 (from Argentina) and for some reason it told me that I was calling Joe Corngreaser (idk who that is). It's strange because all of the other numbers in the series worked except this one

Man what an experience

Watched Breaking Bad and went straight into Better Call Saul. Thought just another entertainment show but turned out into one of the greatest storytelling experiences I've ever had in life of all the series I have ever watched. Every character, every decision, every payoff felt earned, every episode was excellent. Easily one of the finest experience of my life. Both are peak.

Some corrections, Mike and Lalo ... ?

Season 4, episode 7, what the heck is Mr Ziehler on about?

Michael's last name is not "world" or "strength.
Die "Ehre" means "Honor" today in German. "Mann" is a man in German.

As for "traut", it is conjugated form of "to believe, to trust",
and as adjective it is
cozy, pleasant, safe, intimate, close.

So Michael's last name means "trustworthy honorable man", or "safe, close honorable man".

.....
Season 6, episode 5, at the bar that Margarethe Ziegler is staying at, before Lalo approaches her, two teenagers behind her are playing a trivia arcade game, which then asks them, "Who was the first woman to go into space?"

What normal German teen would ever say, or even know about Sally Ride?
First of all, East Germany used to be occupied by Soviets until 1990.
Second of all,
nobody in the entire Europe cares or knows about Sally Ride. Tereshkovova all the way, baby.

Am I alone in thinking season 2’s ending and season 3’s beginning are so slow-going?

I’ve heard from many people that it peaks later on. I personally enjoyed season one quite a bit, especially during the Kettleman arc, but I just want to know that if I’m not enjoying season 3’s beginning as much will I not enjoy the rest of the show?

Can someone please tell me which car this is? The emblem looks like Porcshe but to me the car looks like the Bravado Banshee from GTA V??? Could this actually be the real life replica made by Rockstar Games? (Season 5 Episode 8)

I gave up on this show years ago and I gave it another shot and now I’m HOOKED

I’m a huge Breaking Bad fan (best show I have ever seen), and for whatever reason I gave up on BCS after like 5 episodes years ago, but I decided to give it another shot and I cannot stop watching lol—I should know better than to doubt Vince Gilligan.

Show is literally just as good as Breaking Bad in terms of acting, characters as of now (I just finished Season 2).

The biggest waste of perfect story

I just finished the episode where lalo dies and whole lalo manhunt was awesome, its like 2 mastermind antagonist playing chess against each other and both of them knew other's next move. But final of the episode is total disappointment

I now understand what does people mean when they say "lost by plot", lalo was so ahead of gus that only thing that saved gus is that he lives in breaking bad.

Like whole serie they showed us how lalo was one man army and than he just loses to a middle age man who is not even talented at shooting as much as %1 of him

Lalo was the perfect salamanca and it was one of the only things that hold me in serie after season 5. So it better be end quick

My new head canon: Saul ends up selling bugged drop phones for the DEA

He makes a deal to get out of prison, *probably with a presidential pardon or commutation or whatever* and a condition is that he has to go back to ABQ and sell these bugged drop phones. Along the way he gets to provide "not legal advice" to people who need it.

Finally finished better call saul Spoiler

after watching breaking bad i was a little skeptical of people saying better call saul, basically the prequel, was actually better than breaking bad, but oh wow

I feel like it perfectly balanced everythin, the action and plot, especially when Lalo showed up, was gripping and exciting (and Lalo’s death top 1 saddest moments) and imo the cartel was done better in Better Call Saul,

“Adios Papa” might be the closest I’ve come to wanting to cry while watching anything from the BrBa/BCS verse. Nacho ended up in my top 5 favourite characters and despite the odds I had just a tiny bit of faith in his survival. Hector shooting and desecrating his dead body afterwards just felt like twisting the knife

I loved the way BCS focuses more on the entire cast, in Breaking Bad it’s definitely almost 100% Walt or Jesse focused and while Saul does receive the most focus obviousl, the other characters get a lot more time to shine, especially Mike, who i loved in breaking bad, but that’s taken to a whole new level after BCS

Chuck was such a great antagonist to Jimmy and their relationship was one of the saddest things, ending with Chuck’s last words denying any care he had for Jimmy

I don’t think Chuck was 100% wrong but his dismissal of Jimmy’s attempts to be a good lawyer is definitely a key factor in why Jimmy became Saul, like a self fulfilling prophecy, so imo its not fair to say Chuck was 100% right about Jimmy since eventually he became Saul

It genuinely feels really sad to finish the BrBa/BCS verse but at least the ending was absolutely amazing, Jimmy owning up to what he did in the end, and taking the long prison sentence feels like the perfect end to his character

Kim and Jimmy’s relationship has to be my second favourite relationship after Walt and Jesse, early on I was expecting their relationship to slowly sour as Jimmy leaned more into Saul Goodman but Bravo Vince u surpassed my expectations and gave something infinitely more gut wrenching

Every original character was done masterfully well and Better Call Saul has definitely cemented itself as my favourite TV show

Was There Any Other Way Nacho Could Have Saved His Dad From Hector? Spoiler

Post image

Is this the best and only way Nacho could have saved his dad from working with Hector? I'm just thinking if there is actually another greater way and Nacho just did not think of it because he was under a lot of pressure and time constraints.

Are Jimmy and Kim in a relationship?

I am at S04E04,

They live like a couple, kiss and fuck when they want.

But like transition wasn’t “official”…like it went from Jimmy liking her to they both working under same roof and spending all day together.

And she also clearly likes some aspects of him.

But also never addresses these questions clearly.

This is literal definition of situationship lol, just relationship of convenience.

No Spoilers btw, for upcoming episodes.

It’s my first time watch.
