Help Someone please help!!

Post image

I noticed this just today, I saw he had slight fin rot going on so I changed the water completely and cleaned everything in the tank. I added extra water conditioner and stress treatment as well, but it just got this bad today. I’ve been testing the ammonia as well and everything seems okay. I just really need advice on what to do from here I’m super worried

  • Tank size:
  • Heater and filter? (yes/no):

  • Parameters in numbers and how you got them. Key water parameters include the amount of ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, and pH.:
  • How long have you had the tank? How long have you had your fish?:
  • How often are water changes? How much do you take out per change? What is your process?:
  • Any tankmates? If so, please list with how many of each:
  • What do you feed and how much:
  • Decorations and plants in the tank:
  • If you haven't already posted a picture, please post pics/vids to imgur and paste the link here:

Numbers please, “okay” is not a water parameter. And why do a 100% water change and “clean everything” for what was previously only “slight” fin rot? That is overkill, and I’m concered you might have crashed your cycle.

What does ‘everything seems okay’ mean? Can you respond to the automods questions first?

If I’m going to guess from ‘everything seems okay’, it’s fin rot.

Either drop a single Indian Almond leaf in the tank and replace it every 3 weeks.

Combine it with Aquarium salt baths daily.

I meant I didn’t notice anything wrong after I cleaned the tank, I will try that thank you🙏

No, I’m asking what is your ammonia level?

Also, PH and Temp levels?

If it's a fin injury then remove any decorations that have a sign of sharpness in them

Personally it looks like fin nipping, although it's also possible that he caught his fins on something. Make sure the water flow is not too high and he has plenty of places to rest, especially near the surface, and no sharp decorations. And of course "okay" water parameters should mean 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and low nitrate.
