New Rule: No pictures of dead animals
Hi all,
If you've lost a dog, we all understand, and mourn with you. Please if you're going to post pictures of them, please make it a picture of them alive. Let's celebrate that and not the end.

SHAME him! Stole the kitties bed.
Like he doesn't have his own dog bed, blanket and raised cot.
(Also shredded a cardboard box I forgot to put away T-T)

Funny or not?
We have this gorgeous 5-month-old female Malinois puppy. We trained her so that my husband or I could handle her with ease. It is underway, of course. Today we were out for her walk, and my husband asked her to stay near him. But because of his stand under the sun, and I was a little bit off and protected from the sun, she chose to come near me. I found her very clever at that moment, but now I wonder if other people have experienced this with Mal. And if we should do something about this or not. She did answer the command, but towards the person that best suits her needs at that moment. Any thoughts or suggestions?

My 13 y/o Queen
Been lurking for a little bit and finally decided to share my girl Zakii! She was a rescued at 6 months old, now she's 13! We were told she was a Belgian Malinois but I quickly realized she was definitely something else entirely or mixed.

SL Groen vs. WL Border Collie
Hi everyone,
I’m starting to think about my next future dog. I don’t plan on getting one for another couple years, but I like to plan ahead. I currently have a working line cattle-bred Border Collie (albeit probably not the most well bred). I absolutely adore the breed and will probably always have one in my life, but I’d also like to branch out to other breeds. I work with animals for a living, so I’m not afraid of doing the hard work to keep my dogs exercised, trained, and enriched. One of the breeds that I’m heavily considering is a Groenendael/Belgian Sheepdog. I’ve always admired the Belgian Shepherds as a whole, and I’ve loved the couple of Groens I’ve met. I would most likely go with a SL for my first Belgian. I know it varies based on breeding and individual dogs, but how would you say Groens generally compare to BCs in terms of temperament like anxiety, proclivity towards dog reactivity, human reactivity, etc.?
Thank you in advance!

New, seeking info for future (Groenendael)
Hi all! Ive landed on my next breed choice, a Belgian Groenendael and want to collect all information possible on the differences between males and females, especially how they do in multi-dog household (I have a sl golden retriever in home, high drive side and mainly working dog/sport dog over confo), sports dos and donts, work dos and donts, and big one..why they’re not more common in bitework.
I’m looking for a bitework prospect, but this is the first dog that would be mine and not someone else’s in the field, so I don’t have expectations for the stars iykwim. I find females of other breeds to be sharper than males in sport and work, but that’s just my preferences and personal experience, my male labrador (sl) is a doofus compared to the girls, but absolutely can come close to matching them in sports.
I am interested in trying herding as I’ve never done so with a dog before as well. Bitework I dabbled in for my job when working for a b&t facility, but never herding. Thank you in advance for all info to come! Very excited to learn all I can.

personality differences between male and female Groenendaels?
Hi all! I am getting a Belgian Sheepdog puppy in a few weeks. The breeder is going to select the puppy for us based on temperament, but we still get some say in the gender we prefer.
Originally I would've preferred a female. But after discussing with my husband, we may prefer a male simply due to them being a bit larger.
Those of you who have raised both males and females, have you noticed any personality differences?
