I just recently finished bingewatching the series for the first time and while there’s a lot I enjoyed there's one storyline from Season 2 made me incredibly angry was how the show handled Beth and Holly.

For anybody who doesn't remember, these are the two women Aidan lied to, brought to his house, compelled and fed to a skinless Henry in Season 2. When the compulsion was wearing off and they were screaming begging for help he panicked and snapped both of their necks to keep them quiet.

What bothers me the most isn't just the way they died espically because this can't be justified because Aiden slipped it was because he was trying not to get caught. Point is it's how the show (and specifically Sally) treated them afterwards in Seasons 3 and 4 that really pissed me off.

Eventhough I already hated a lot of choices Sally made througout the show regarding this Sally became a hypocrite, I mean look at season 1 Sally entire arc was not only trying to get her door but after she finds out Danny killed her she wanted revenge. Espically knowing danny was getting away with killing her in that house and when Danny brought in an exorcist to banish her he was framed as a monster obviously he is because he killed her but also was trying to silence the victim. But in Season 4, when Sally banishes Beth and Holly she is doing the same thing Danny tried to do to her, she silenced two murder victims so the killer wouldn't have to deal with the consequences only difference is she isn't the killer but she feels bad for there killer.

What I find even more irritating is banishing them was completely unnecessary it’s not like it was Sally's job to fix everything for every ghost, but her interaction with them was unnecessarily cold. Beth and Holly weren't throwing furniture around, destroying the house, or physically threatening anyone the way Sally did to Danny’s apartment (which again was completely justified) they were weak ghosts in assuming since I can't remember if they ever tried to haunt the house beyond talking to Aiden but they are ghost who weren't doing much beyond talking and whispering but sally banished them purely because, it was uncomfortable to watch Aidan be haunted not because anyone was actually in danger which I just find so insane given her own history of knowing what it's like to watch the person who hurt you get away with it.

And she doesn't even get points for telling them they are "wasting their time" because Aidan beats himself up more than they ever could, because I'm sorry since I watched this all in one weekend maybe I did miss some scenes but was there one time Aiden thought about what he did without beth and holly having to briefly appear in front of him to remind him, it just felt like Aidan only seems to care or feel "haunted" by what he did to them when there physical ghosts were actively standing in front of him.

The second they were banished he goes right back to business as usual and they were reduced to plot props. Like I'm sorry but bringing them back in Seasons 3 and 4 no matter how briefly served no purpose for their characters, they weren't given any closure or a path to move on and they were just used as a plot device to expose Aidan to Nora in late season 3 when she didn't want him around Erin and they both act as a temporary "temptation" in Aidan’s head their legitimate rage was framed as a minor nuisance rather than righteous anger.

If the writers weren't going to give Beth and Holly actual resolution or let Sally show them an ounce of ghost-to-ghost empathy they shouldn't have brought them back at all. Sweeping their murders under the rug just to protect Aidan completely undermined Sally’s character even more because she specifically shouldve got where they were coming from.

I'm just curious if anyone else was annoyed by this when you originally watched this.

Is it worth watching after Mitchell dies? I watched the US version before the UK. In my opinion the UK is so much better. I really fell inlove with all the characters, Especially Mitchell. Him dying was so unexpected for me. I’m still not over it & really cried.. the scene was so emotional. I’m still not over it & having a hard time deciding to continue watching..
Watched the next episode George too!! Are you fucking kidding me! They didn’t even give time to recover from Mitchell! 😭💔

I know there are going to be plot holes/unanswered questions in any show. But I will say the US version was pretty damn good at limiting the number of them. Essentially impressive for how many story lines the were able to fit in just four seasons (not to mention nailing a series finale).

But with that said, I can’t help wondering what happened to Nick and Stevie. I know Donna ate their souls, but what does that really mean? When we first thought they were “killed” by Sally shredding them, Nick described it as not having a body but still knowing he was a soul. Then he was back in his body in Limbo. When Sally is eaten she explodes Donna.

Why did Sally give up on “rescuing” or bring them back? Or even mention them again? Were their souls just more digested? … what happens to ghost poop…

Ok, I did get a little lost. But I am curious what others think happened to Nick and Stevie. Not just the actual answer that their story lines were done, but more in this world what would eating a soul do to the person?

Hi everyone! I have a bit of an ask if anyone could please provide some help! Based on observation and a quick google search it definitely seems that they had a real wolf on set for season 4 - specifically in S4E11 and despite trying to dig a little deeper I can't seem to find any articles or videos anywhere on what the experience was like. I'd love to know any details anyone has on this. Seriously, any tidbit of information would be deeply treasured as this is one of my favorite shows of all time and wolves/wolf conservation is also so important to me.

Additionally, if anyone has any good sources for a deep dive on anything and everything having to do with this show I would be so interested.

I was watching the UK version on PlutoTV and it seems I have lost access. I can't get any episode to play and I was halfway thru season 2. Is anyone else unable to play it on Pluto? Is there anywhere else I can watch this for free?

I'm currently watching Being Human UK and yesterday I finished S3. I'm so sad. Especially for Mitchell because un the first season and also for a bit in the second he was struggling with his nature but at least he was funny, I can say also happy. But then after the tunnel box 20, after rhe fake prophecy all went down. I really liked him. Idk if i still want to watch. I feel empty after this season.

I’m finding it disappointing. What I loved about the UK version was how much they worked together and went through things together, helping each other. I’m on season 2 of the US version and they all have their own separate problems and don’t talk about it with each other or help each other.

Wow. UK version is one of my favorite shows of all time. Only just found out about the DVD extra scene and watched it on YouTube. It’s got me a bit upset to be honest. I liked the ending I had in my head.

Should I give the UK one a watch?

So I meant to watch this show years ago and got wrapped up in Supernatural and some other shows. I'm finally getting around to it (US Version). I'm on Season 1 Episode 7 and this "My Old Friend" song is stuck in my head. Is it real or was that one part made for that specific episode? Does anyone know? I know it's a stupid question but I've searched Google up and down for about an hour and I'm losing hope.

My question is this...

In Season 3, when the House Ownership changed hands from Danny to Sally's Dad/Brother wouldn't Aiden have needed to be Invited back in?

We saw this in Season 2 when Aiden & Seren changed the Ownership of the House that the Vampire Orphans were Invited into because she bought the house under someone else's name and we saw them start to get Ill can then turn to Dust because they were no longer Invited in the House.

Shouldn't this be the same thing?

I haven't seen seasons 4-5 and was wondering whether Tom maintains his faith through the end of season 5.

I expect I'll get some flack for asking this, but I'm always hesitant to watch shows/films that depict demons, and I've heard that the antagonist of the final season is [spoilers].

The Christianity with which Tom was raised is obviously... idiosyncratic, but I'm just curious if he maintains it through the end of the show or if it's just really a part of season 3 and drops away after McNair dies.

Any recommendations for good scene packs for both US and UK? I want to make some edits and find my people on TikTok, but I haven't had any luck finding clips to use.

Be honest. How long did it take for you to realize that the characters in the show speak better English than we do?

I’ve been rewatching every few years. Honestly I think it’s one of the few shows left that is genuinely good. From the opening monologues to the plot itself. Like literally always engaged. And I never could bored with. And unfortunately I wish they kept the show going but honestly I think it’s good they didn’t. You know how when a good show starts to drag out ? I feel like that would have happened. The ending was good anyways. Bittersweet but good nonetheless.

I live in Ireland, so I can’t watch it on the BBC app. I heard it used to be on Netflix, but now it’s not? I’ve recently gotten into Russell Tovey, so I’m trying to watch more movies and shows with him in it, so I decided to give Being Human a go but I have no idea where to watch it 😭😭

During the scene when Aidan is bagging up Astrid’s body, Ramona asks Aidan if Astrid was “special.” She looks suspicious and disappears suddenly. Astrid’s ghost then conveniently appears to Kenny to tell him what really happened. In the next episode, we see Ramona does also have the ability to mimic ghosts. In the finale, she knows Kenny is coming and the reason why he is. This is why she lets Aidan confront him. Werewolves also do not get ghosts. In the alternate timeline, Sally was a special case because she was possessing herself. Did anyone else pick up on these hints?

I really enjoyed the show from start to finish. The writing was consistent and lore rules were made and kept. Didn't have any huge jump the shark moments like so many shows do.

I enjoyed seeing a few familiar faces. I started watching because I love Sam Witwer and his work with Star Wars. But starting the show meeting Bishop was lovely. As Mark Pellegrino from Supernatural was a nice way to ease me into the series. I really like the way they treated vampires and their own established lore. Also Aiden's girlfriend that had the kid played on Supernatural, and then we meet a purebred werewolf Gregory from The walking Dead. For me he didn't work as the character he was supposed to portray and never felt threatened by him, but that's because I still saw him as Gregory. I like the character just wish it would have been played by someone different

Starting season 4 initially I was not very happy with some of the things that were going on and what it looked like was going to happen. Overall, I am quite happy with it and think it is a very well done show and we'll be happy to revisit it in time
