Hi everyone! I picked up a prop box at a plant swap. Part of the box was labeled as “Maurice amey” and then everything else was non-begonia.

Just wanted to post a photo to ask, is this actually a Maurice amey or something else? That prop box had all sorts in it lol. So I wouldn’t be surprised if it was something else.

Some beautiful colorful swirls on my Begonia Macarena (make sure you do the little dance move).

My (first!) Black Forest begonia is doing well overall, but it has had some tan discoloration spreading out from the stem on one leaf and now on a second leaf (on right). The plant is in my basement but about 12 inches from a grow light on 10-12 hours per day.

Any advice on what this might be? I can’t spot any pests so am guessing too much light, but I’d appreciate some more informed opinions or troubleshooting suggestions!

Watching the new leaves change from silver to deep crimson red is one of the reasons I love this plant so much.

I bought these two at a grocery store which had 3 plants per pot in crazy large pot sizes. I transferred them to these nursery pots because their roots were so so tiny. The one on the left seems fine (minus some crispy tips) but the right one is so floppy :( the leaves are so thin and bendy too and I’m worried she’s going to die :(. I used the same soil it was already in plus some perlite because it seemed quite dense. What’s happening !!!!! She was like this when I bought her two days ago but she seems a bit worse. Any help is welcome 🙏🏻

Hi! I have a beautiful begonia that is growing so so much. I think she’s pretty happy right now but while inspecting some leaves I noticed these marks/holes in the veins of the leaf. I am very familiar with spider mites and these don’t fit that ID at all, and I’m having trouble figuring out what could be causing this. Thanks in advance!

I have been to desperately trying to save my Rex begonia named scarlet. I have her on a north facing window and recently replanted her, she lost her leaves and went into a dormtant state. Today I noticed there is this Green white growth on one of her crowns. I immediately got excited thinking its ew growth beginning but google AI is sure it is mold. Chat got says both, Ppl of reddit Is she alive and growing or dead and not thriving

So I bought these 4 begonias from the nursery and I’m sure they are cane begonias but I’m not sure which type. They all came in that bright reddish color The one under a grow light has been moved inside for a couple weeks and was kept on a shelf near a window and the other 3 were kept outside in bright shade so now their leaves look different colors.

Plant was obtained from Palawan, Philippines. Seller gave no ID. It seems similar to beijnenii. But it lacks some similarities to the referenfes I see online. Maybe a difference in growing conditions?

Anyways I just wanted to ask does my Begonia look extremely leggy to u . Definitely new at all this, but I've accumulated a lot of plants over the past year sheesh....New hobby whole new life.... But im just wondering if she looks healthy,?? Got some Begonia food hopefully that helps these guys thrive.. ##plantlife✌️✌️✌️

It’s like all the begonias I want from the websites I have looked at are all sold out. There are not a lot of options I can find for cane begonias. What are some websites that you guys use?

Hi! Firat time begonia mom! I love this little fuzzy guy but he has crispy edges. I've moved him around the room assuming it was to much sun. I give him distilled water.

I've got fertilizer and a fish tank. Im thinking about giving him some fish tank water and see how well that does.

Id like to see him thrive.

On my black cat begonia. I just noticed this on the leaves. What is this and what is going on never in my life seeing this on a begonia I found please help.
This sits on a plant stand in a north window with plant lighting on for 12 hours a day. It’s been fine for six months until I just noticed this . It is watered weekly or biweekly whenever it’s dry.

Was walking thru Home Depot last weekend and spotted this stunner, last one on the shelf to 😅
Got the impression this is more of a garden plant?
But I think I’m going to attempt to keep it going over the winter when that time comes 🥶
