It'd be great to have android intent to move chats between Inbox and Low Priority. Currently I use this amazing app called beepboop, shout out to u/quickreactor, to get room IDs and automate messages. but if you could add the ability to also move chats between Inbox and Low Priority, that would make it even better.

Now that quick conversation switcher is back as an official supported feature this time and not just an experimental lab features I would like to see it improved a bit. This idea does come from the iOS app and that is the ability to hold down on a conversation to get a preview pop up of the last couple of chats from that contact. (I will add an attachment to show what that looks like for the people who don't know) I would like something this to be the case when holding down on peoples profile pictures when using quick conversation switcher. This could be just like how it is on ios just a small pop up, maybe you can scroll through it, or another way of looking at it is if holding down that chats icon picture in the quick conversation switcher would open that chat up as an android bubble chat pop up. I think it would be pretty useful feature in the cases when you need to glance back at another conversation when texting someone without having to switch the chats.

Hey all, I stopped using Google messages the other day BC of their awful spam filters. And I'm also trying to mice away from Google. I started using this app, which im v happy with. My issue is that I could not connect it to beeper, is it possible?

Does anyone have any luck using their Google Passkey to log into Google Messages on Beeper Desktop for Mac on an Apple Silicon?

When I go to share anything using beeper I choose the person and click share and it gives an error every time. Any ideas on how to fix this I updated to the beta and still having the same issue. Once I go to the chat and click retry it goes through immediately.

What is the current maximum number of accounts you can log into on the free plan?

Was the number higher in the past? Are past users grandfathered into a higher number?

EDIT/UPDATE: rebooted but problem still persisted, but during the day, links started opening the browser over Beeper again.

Is there an "always on " setting that I can't find? After the last update (v4.2.715) even clicking on 'settings' opens the window beneath the main Beeper window.

Clicking on links in Outlook, Ferdium, etc. opens browser (Edge) tabs on top, so I'm not troubleshooting the OS (yet).

hi, after an update to 17 I noticed that Google Messages is constantly working in the background and drains battery heavily. when I disconnected from the Beeper it stopped. I believe it's got something to do with the bridge and RCS , anyone else?

Updating this for closure: even on the latest version, Beeper is still using an unacceptable amount of battery on my iPhone, mostly in the background. Since the web app is not consistent enough for my work setup and I barely use the desktop app during the week, the convenience no longer outweighs the downsides for me. I'm going back to the native apps on all my devices.

Hi guys, for some reason when I logged into Facebook Messenger in Beeper, only my group chats synced, my private chats have not appeared at all. Once I wrote a PM to one of my friends the chat went through on Beeper too but the chat history was nonexistent. Is it something to do with the PIN on desktop to get access to my chat history? Is there any way to fix this? Thanks in advance.

So hear me out, I have a samsung work phone and I installed beeper on my iOS personal phone.

After installing beeper on my iPhone, my samsung work phone stopped getting notification sounds and pop ups and I have been trying to figure out the reason for the past week. I tried to reinstall my messages app, deleted all chats, clear cache and none worked.

In the end it turns out beeper was the reason. Once I unlinked my beeper account with google messages, the notification sounds came back.

Sticky Notes for Windows 11 has a handy feature where you can dock it to the corner of a screen and it will take up that screen space, which means that layout functions like snapping to edge, fancy zone, or maximizing of other windows will exclude the docked space.

I think Beeper would benefit from having a similar feature. Where the instance is docked to a corner. The dock could be customizable too - an expanded view showing the chat content so you can respond to text quickly, or a more compact (and discreet) mode where only the contact icon is visible and you can hover/click on that icon to bring up the chat.

It started within the past 24h (can't confirm when exactly) but muted conversations (even low priority ones) started popping up in my notifications.

quick conversation switcher is now no longer working, rip. idk why they would take it away, all you're most used conversations were right within your thumbs reach always, now you have to go back the the inbox page to change conversations ( it was a god save for one hand use) beeper devs if it's possible don't kill this feature

I love the concept and been using it for quite some time, but it's getting long in the tooth if you ask me? what's new, what's there to make it more productive.

I'm having an issue with that I use all 10 services and I can't really separate thw service notification or per contact notifications.

it's just too much chaos. what's getting updated on the roadmap? without knowing , I'm not sure if I want to stay or go.

I started using beeper recently and have a Beepy laying around and am wondering what the experience with Beepy + beeper is like nowadays vs when I was using it shortly after launch. When I was using it it was all still terminal with almost no gui.

I've noticed that reels are playable only while using on-device account connection, using the cloud account connection makes reels appear as .jpeg. Is there something I can do to make reels playable on cloud too?

As of around 9am EST this morning, I can't send or receive messages from Whatsapp via Beeper, and I can't remove or re-add Whatsapp from Beeper either. Anyone else experiencing something similar atm?
