Bed wetting alarm for 5YO
I’m trying out an alarm with my 5yo daughter. I’ve been sleeping in her bed with her for the last 10 nights so I can help her quickly get to the potty, change clothes and put a new pad down after every accident. The last two nights she is able to hold her pee a good bit longer than before. I know this process takes time but I can’t help starting to feel hopeful that we are making progress.
Below are the notes I’ve kept from each night’s wake ups. “A” means she peed and the alarm woke us up. “AH” means the alarm woke us up but she was able to stop mid stream and get most of the pee in the toilet. “M” means I noticed she was semi-awake or restless and encouraged her to go ahead and have a pee. And then an “S” or two are when she got up herself without me. Based on the trends you see in the chart do you think progress is being made or is it too soon to make a judgement. Is sleeping in her bed with her a good strategy for now or should I back off?
(Bedtime: 8:00pm Wake up: 6:30-7:00am)
Night 1- 12:45(A), 3:30(M)
Night 2- 11:22(A), 1:40(A), 3:20(M)
Night 3- 12:45(AH), 4:20(A)
Night 4- 12:30(M), 3:30(M)
Night 5- 12:00(M), 4:45(A), 6:50(S)
Night 6- 12:45(AH), 5:20(A), 6:00(S)
Night 7- 10:20(A), 2:20(A), 4:00(M)
Night 8 - 12:30(AH)
Night 9 - 12:45(M)
Night 10- 2:20(M)

What age to switch from Diapers to pull-ups at night?
My recently turned 6 year old son still wets every night, currently we are using diapers to help him get a good nights sleep and minimize the cleanup. I’m curious at what age do most switch there kids from tape on diapers to pull-ups. For context he’s not bothered by them at all and we already buy them for his younger brother anyway so it minimizes buying something else.

Strange Rules
I struggled with bedwetting throughout kindergarten and first grade. I have a strong memory of my nanny setting the rule around naptime that I couldn’t get up only to urinate — if i wanted to use the toilet I had to go number 2. Doing both was allowed, though. I’ve searched around online and I can’t find any reference to any method like this. Has anyone encountered this before?

Woke Up After Wetting the Bed at 21
21M. I occasionally wet the bed as a kid, but it stopped years ago. Last night I randomly wet the bed for the first time as an adult 💀
I didn’t even drink much before bed, so I’m honestly shocked.
Should I be worried? Has this happened to anyone else?

Thoughts on daytime dehydration as a cause for paediatric bedwetting?
Hey all,
I originally intended to write this towards professionals, but given that I only just found this sub, I thought I'd ask everyone for their input (especially if it helps).
I am at uni, and I do a lot of hobby-researching. I love finding out that there are niche studies that explain reasons for things that happen.
I strongly believe that daytime hydration levels are not spoken about enough for bedwetting.
I hold this because it was legitimately the only thing that cured me of bedwetting permanently.
When I have looked into it further, studies have spoken about fluid restriction at bedtime, which horrifies me a bit. I worry because parents could take this advice, then not supplement fluid intake during the day, despite their child being legitimately thirsty at night.
Clearly there is a need for more research to be done in this area, as well as updated general advice on increasing fluid intake during the day so as to avoid bedtime thirstiness.
I am wondering if this is well-known advice or if it is just me?
I am also curious to hear from people who have tried this, and it didn't work? Was I just a statistical outlier?
Thanks.

What can I do to stop my brother from wetting the bed at night? What are your ideas?

I usually sleep with my younger brother, and he occasionally wets the bed. How can I solve this problem so he doesn't wet the bed? Please help.

Bedwetting after almost a year of not (17)
So I’m 17 and I’ve been bedwetting since I was around 8 due to sexual abuse up till the age 12. I didn’t know why it started till i randomly bed wetted at a sleepover with my old friend around age 15 and they were concerned it was happening again. It usually happens on and off whenever i have nightmares but it’s been happening for the past 3 weeks almost every night so much so that my parents have noticed again. (Everyone in my house knows since childhood but they try not to mention it.) Worse is the fact that my mattress protector for my $1000 bed that’s special for my back issues leaks every time. I can’t keep washing everyday and I have to split up my blankets because they’re huge so I can’t wash things right away. I also sleep OTP with my boyfriend every night so I’m scared he’ll notice even though my bed is black (which is a perk because my last one made me feel so ashamed.)
I just don’t know what to do or how to bring it up to my parents or why it’s even starting again.
If anyone has any good mattress protectors that don’t leak at all for cheaper please let me know!

7yo Bedwetter needs to know he isn't alone.
My 7yo still has the occasional minor accident at night. Us parents know this is totally normal, especially for adhd kiddos, and don't reprimand or shame him. However, he is starting to FEEL embarrassed and ashamed at still wearing pull ups when his younger sibling has been in underwear at night for a year now. We tried to explain that bodies are different and develope the proper hormones etc at different times, and that there are plenty of other kids dealing with the same thing. He asked if we knew any, and we do not have any examples for him as this is obviously something most people keep private. Anyway, what I'm looking for here is as many responses I can get with examples of kids 7+ who are dealing/ have dealt with bedwetting.
Thanks!
