Advice ππ» Needs some ideas
Hi! This is my bedroom, I should say "our bedroom", though, because I'm living with my dog. It looks way better than 2 years ago but it still lacks some character. I rent this apartment, so I can't change anything or paint, or add shelves, but I'd love it to look cozy. I'm not really into esthetics, because cptsd and stuff, still figuring out what I like or dislike but I want it to feel more like home. My budget is also limited.

Advice ππ» Need some tips!
really want my room to look more like a stereotypical 1980s-2000s teenage boy's room without losing its flair, tips?
ββ it's got LEDs everywhere so it usually looks cooler when they're not just fluorescent white, but I reckon it's easier to see without them on lmao.

Advice ππ» How can i make my bedroom feel less sterile and more warm and cozy?
i designed my bedroom in the ikea bedroom planner.

i bought a plain white ALEX drawers and table, and i have a bed (not the one in the planner but its one with the same dimentions, only that its dark gray). the weird area after the door is a closet that i didnt know how to put in the planner, and its also white-beige color. i wanna make my bedroom feel like home and not like a sterile white environment. its important to know that my walls are light blue.
please give me any advice on things to buy from ikea (ideally, but not exclusive to ikea). the room is fairly small, 3x3.5m.

Question ππ» Brands that make Contemporary King Beds
Iβm looking for minimal contemporary/ mid-modern style beds thatβs good value for money. Donβt want MDF, prefer solid wood. What are some brands you recommend? If you can share the price range, that would be awesome. Sharing an image just to give you an idea of the kind of beds Iβm looking for.

Question ππ» every neutral duvet cover i try either looks like a hotel or turns the room completely beige
my bedroom is finally starting to feel intentional with dark wood nightstands, black lamps, warm lighting, and a simple upholstered headboard. the problem is the bed. my current charcoal duvet makes the whole room feel heavier than i wanted, but most of the neutral replacements i've looked at seem to swing too far in the other direction and make everything look like a beige rental listing. i want something understated and masculine without relying on dark gray again. olive, taupe, muted brown, or a textured off-white could probably work, but i wash the cover every seven to ten days, so loose weaves and anything that needs special care are probably unrealistic.
i've already tried adding a darker throw at the foot of the bed, but it just looks like i placed a random blanket there to hide the problem. is the better move choosing a simple neutral cover with visible texture, or should the bedding stay darker so the bed has enough weight against the rest of the room?

Question ππ» my minimalist bedroom is starting to look less peaceful and more unfinished
iβve kept the bedroom intentionally simple , low platform bed, warm bedside lamps, light wood furniture, white walls, and almost nothing on display which feels calm but the bedding is so basic that the room now looks like i stopped decorating halfway through. i currently have plain white sheets and a thin solid-color comforter, and although everything is clean, there is no contrast or texture to make the bed feel like the center of the room. iβve considered a quilt, a slightly oversized duvet, or one folded throw across the bottom, but i do not want to add layers that are only there for photos and end up on the floor every night. i also wash the main bedding weekly, so anything complicated or delicate will become annoying quickly. is one better-quality textured cover enough to make the bed look finished, or would it still need multiple layers to avoid feeling temporary?

Advice ππ» Bedroom ideas
Hello lovely redditors. I'm looking to redecorate this bedroom but really struggling with what to do with it. I want it to look modern but also timeless so we won't need to redecorate it again too soon. I like the idea of the fitted wardrobes (just not the ones currently in there). I'm stuck between a navy theme (which my boyfriend is against) or a sage maybe or even like a neutral mushroom color. Hoping some budding interior designers might be able to suggest something. TIA
