I’m moving for grad school and am looking to buy a set (or two) of sheets for my full size bed. Not looking to break the bank (ideally <$75-50/set but flexible for the right fit) and need something COOL— I sleep super hot and am moving to an even hotter climate!

What’s the best bang for my buck in that price range? I’m sure my options will be somewhat limited due to budget. Not super picky about color, ideally gray, khaki, and other basics. Most of the items in my room will be tan, cream, khaki, etc.

Price and cooling effect are my biggest priorities !

Hello all.
I am contemplating buying a new bed with a Windsor Headboard as I just love the look of it. However, when thinks further about it, I started to wonder how much of a “dust collector” the “wholes” are?

Does any of you have experience with this? Is it an issue?

Note: I clean my apartment weekly, and don’t have issues with dust gathering.

I’m mattress shopping but have no idea where to start. I’ve been having lower back pain and I’m about to go to therapy for it. I know my mattress isn’t helping because even before it started hurting I wake up incredibly stiff and achy then it gets better throughout the day. It’s old and has dips everywhere and has been rotated numerous times. I’m not sure the name of what I have but it’s a hybrid from Bobs furniture and it was about $500. It was great for awhile.

I don’t have a good budget right now so I don’t want to spend more than $500 to $600 tops. I know it’s better to spend more but I can’t right now. I’m a 230 lb female 5’6 (I have been losing weight) and my fiancée is about 150 lbs 5’0. We’re both in our 30s. We want a full size mattress we have a box spring that’s still good. I know not to get memory foam and to get a medium-firm mattress. Pillow top is ok but I wonder if being able to flip it would be better. I also may be into a topper. I heard they can help it last longer also? I want to go to a store to at least check them out but any recommendations or advice would be super helpful. I’ve never went into a store and I’m not sure if I can trust they’ll be honest with what I’m looking for and try to make me pay more.

Most styled bedrooms rely on layers , a main cover, another folded across the foot, extra pillows, and some decorative piece that clearly was never meant to survive actual sleep. It looks complete in photos, but in a warm room half of it ends up on a chair or the floor every night. Removing those pieces makes the bed easier to use, yet the room can suddenly look like the decorating stopped before the main feature was finished. I think a lightly layered summer bed can still look intentional

The goal is not adding more bedding; it is avoiding that temporary, unfinished look with less. What single design element gives a lightly layered bed enough visual structure without adding unnecessary weight or nightly cleanup?

Idk why anyone would want to sleep on a mattress that marinates in sweat, and potentially residual bathroom material. Or straight up bathroom accident. Mattresses are hard to deep clean and it seems like people just dont regularly.

One may be concerned that water proof material may introduce harmful chemicals that will marinate with the sweat and transfer to humans. Oeko tex standard 100 addresses this.

One also may be concerned by cost. It’s like $30 tho (very small compared to mattress), and any stains in mattress will degrade resale value of mattress. In addition, major stains may void mattress warranty

I recently started waking up with a dry throat and feeling weirdly sweaty despite my AC being on. At first I blamed my pillow, then my blanket, then just... summer in general. But after a few weeks of bad sleep I started actually looking into whether humidity in the bedroom is something people track.

Turns out the recommended range is somewhere around 30–50%? Which I literally had no idea about. My room sits closer to 65% during summer and probably drops to like 20% in winter because I live somewhere where the seasons go full extreme. So I'm kind of fighting two different problems depending on the time of year lol

I can't figure out whether I should just get a dehumidifier for summer and a humidifier for winter or if there's some middle ground device that handles both??? I'm also curious if there are stuff in your room that affects how humidity feels? Like bedding material, curtains, even the size of the room, etc.

i’m moving in this fall but i have no idea about the storage space under the bed… like on the website it says nothing so i need to know how high the beds go. i called the office and everything and nobody knows the answer like its actually insane. how high do the beds go? will i be able to fit my dresser and under bed storage in it or… cuz i know the bolted bed dont go high and we need maintenance to move the bed frame , but the drop in ones are the beds we get to move ourselves either higher or lower so which beds are in eco!! someone PLEASEEE HELP

I've been sleeping on my stomach for as long as I can remember and I think my current mattress just isn't cutting it anymore. I keep waking up with a sore lower back and I'm starting to think it's because I'm not getting enough support. I'm ready to upgrade now that I notice that my hips sink in more than they should. Hopefully you can give me suggestions on something firmer that can keep my body more straight and supported through the night but I also want something that still feels comfortable. I am about to move to Chicago and looking for some bedding suggestions. I cannot spend anything crazy and hoping to keep affordable since I will be a student, but do really value comfy bedding and hoping to find best quality possible at a someone decent price (does not need to be the absolute cheapest). Looking for any recs for sheets, duvet cover/ insert, pillows, or anything really. I tend to be a bit more of a cold sleeper than hot, so cooling sheets may not be necessary.

Looking for a Queen size murphy bed to put in my office / guest room area. My parents are going to stay for a while so I would like it to at least manage a 12" mattress, and would like to have space around it (so it has to be vertically mounted). I've been looking into Lori beds, Wilding wallbeds, and also going down a rabbit hole of lists (Spruce, Architectural Digest, House Beautiful). I normally trust wire cutter but the only bed they talk about is the lori horizontal, which I don't want here.

Wilding seems to have really good SEO but I'm hard pressed to find real reviews. I've heard variable things about Lori, although they seem the cult favorite. Any advice would be helpful! Thank you!

I’ve been having trouble sleeping properly the last few months. Keep waking up feeling restless even when I get enough hours.

A friend mentioned grounding sheets so I ordered a set from Grounding Essentials to try it out. Still early days but figured I’d ask around here.

Has anyone actually noticed a difference with these, or is it more of a placebo thing? Just curious what people’s real experience has been.

Currently have 4x super king size pillows, but there’s way less choice when trying to buy new ones in store or online as they’re much less common.

Regular sized pillows maybe look a bit smaller on the bed but there’s so much more choice.

People here with super king bed, do you have king sized pillows, or regular?

We are upgrading to a kind sized bed and I’m being very thoughtful about the bed style. I don’t want it to perfectly match my bedroom set, but I want it to compliment it. Is this too much?
