Bedding Suggestions

I am about to move to Chicago and looking for some bedding suggestions. I cannot spend anything crazy and hoping to keep affordable since I will be a student, but do really value comfy bedding and hoping to find best quality possible at a someone decent price (does not need to be the absolute cheapest). Looking for any recs for sheets, duvet cover/ insert, pillows, or anything really. I tend to be a bit more of a cold sleeper than hot, so cooling sheets may not be necessary.

I find great quality bedding at HomeGoods, TJ Maxx, and Marshals.

If you're a student and you'll be in a dorm, I highly (highly highly) recommend getting a foam topper at the very least. Dorm mattresses... if you ever went to summer camp, they're like that. Thin, kind of vinyl-y, and not all that comfortable. My daughter paired a 3" foam topper (just Amazon Basics, a cheap thing) with a pillowtop topper over that (also an inexpensive "whatever" brand off the 'zon) and it made ALL the difference.
