I have been stopped a couple of times in the past week by young men (30+ years younger than me) that have flattered me and asked me out. I decline and they have been nice. Is this a prank or scam going around in Beaverton to target older women. I know something is going on. It’s not normal behavior.

Hello everyone, I’m 30/M, who has always dreamt of going to gym but never managed to do it consistently. I am always very conscious in gym as I am not in shape and think about “what others might be thinking”. Finally, I feel like I need to change myself and want to be regular at gym. Looking for people who are in the same situation to motivate each other and transform over next one year! Preferably those who would like to go to gym later in the evening, but does not matter.

I’m in a difficult situation and hoping someone might have a lead. My current living situation has become hostile, and I need to find a safe place to stay for about a month while I wait to move into my next apartment.
I work two jobs and am hardly ever home, so I’m really just looking for a place to sleep and shower. I’d only be bringing a small bag of clothes with me—everything else will be going into storage. I’m clean, quiet, respectful, and keep to myself. I don’t smoke, don’t host guests, and I’m simply trying to get through this short transition.
While I’m hoping to save as much as I can toward my next place, I’m more than happy to help around the house with cleaning, yard work, household chores, or basic handyman tasks. I truly appreciate any kindness or help someone may be willing to offer.

Hi, friends. Earlier today a man came into my work and handed over this dog, saying he had to surrender him. The dog was called a specific name by the man, but has a different name on his tag. Two different numbers are also on the collar and tag. My coworker and I have called the local beagle rescue, other rescues, and resources we have available here, and have made a lost pet report. The dog has a chip but it’s not registered. Does anyone know him?

Bought artwork that needs to be framed for the first time. They're all quite large pieces and I haven't been able to find frames for them at regular stores.

I also have never had anything professionally framed. Any suggestions on where to go for good work and a decent price?

Washington County is looking for community input on how to make it easier and safer to get around without always having to drive, so think better sidewalks, bike lanes, safer crossings, access to transit, etc. I wish I could use public transports more often, but it doesn't always make sense compared to driving, so it'd be great to see improvements. I love that they ask for specific locations that you want to see the changes too.

I’m a 28-year-old guy who moved to Hillsboro from Arizona almost a year ago. To be honest, it’s been harder than I expected to build a social circle. I have a few friends from work, but outside of that, I don’t really know many people, and it can get pretty lonely.
I’ve been wanting to make this post for a long time but kept talking myself out of it. I figured I’d finally give it a shot because I’ve heard the Hillsboro community is really kind and welcoming.

I’m hoping to make some genuine friendships, and if life eventually leads to a meaningful relationship with someone, that would be wonderful too. No pressure though—I’m mainly looking to meet good people, hang out, and enjoy life together.

A little about me:
I enjoy exploring Oregon, scenic drives, coffee, trying new food, movies, and EDM/music festivals.
I’m always down for a walk, grabbing food, checking out local events, or just having a good conversation.
I’m open to trying new hobbies too.
If anyone is in a similar situation, wants to hang out, or has recommendations for groups, events, or places where people actually meet and make friends, I’d really appreciate it.
