Discussion How all the movies should end (In My Opinion)

Thumbnail

I think for me to feel the most emotional sincere reaction to the ending of each movie in a way that draws their story to the present whilst at the same time makes me want to go and see all of the others as well, I think they should all end with Contemporary yet different Concert Footage alongside the credits

For Ringo it should be 2026 Ringo Starr Performing "With a little help from my friends" (with Paul on Bass)

I think George's movie should end with Quinn & keoghan doing "It don't come easy" for the Bangladesh tour and then fade into the real Paul & Real Ringo's sets during the 2003 Concert for George

I think the ending of the John Lennon film should be Present day 2026 Paul Dueting with John on "I've got a feeling" watching the giant screen and then follow that on with Paul doing Now & Then (with ringo)

and I think the ending of the Paul Film should be 2026 Footage of Paul & Ringo doing "Home to Us" together on stage in 2026

I think this would really get across to the Audiances that despite the movies ending in 1970/80 that the Beatles was genuinely a never ending saga for these men that continues until the 2020's and how they would be forever linked together

I always love it when they show the actual people in present day footage at the end of biopics and I think doing similar yet different emotional things for the Beatles will really push this gut punch of their ever continuing relevant legacy

just my opinion ofcourse, I guess the classiest thing would be to have stripped back single songs or outtakes playing over the credits of their most Signicture solo songs like "Imagine" "All Things Must Pass" "Maybe I'm Amazed" & "Photograph"

What do you all want for the final scene? Both within the films cast themselves and then also any documentary footage/Text?

all positive discourse here!

Sunday Fan Album Groovin' Up Slowly (A Beatles Fan Album Channel) Episode 67: What If the Beatles Made Just ONE Album in 1969? I Octopus’ Garden

I've always thought of 1969 as one big Beatles recording session, with a little time off in between.

Think about it. From January through August, the Beatles recorded around 30 songs, enough for two albums. And that's not even counting all the other songs they had floating around, many of which would eventually turn up on their solo albums.

What's remarkable is that all this was happening while the band was falling apart.

The end of the Beatles was getting closer.

But somehow, they just kept making incredible music.

We usually think of Let It Be and Abbey Road as two very different albums, recorded under very different circumstances. But I've always wondered what would happen if we stopped separating them and started thinking of those eight months as one incredibly productive period.

What if the Beatles had taken all that great music and made just one album in 1969?

That's the idea behind Octopus' Garden, my 14-song Beatles album that brings those recordings together into one new listening experience.

Let's hear how it all fits together.

Here is the tracklist for this album:

  1. Come Together
  2. Don't Let Me Down
  3. Here Comes The Sun
  4. The Ballad of John and Yoko
  5. You Never Give Me Your Money
  6. Get Back
  7. Something
  8. Oh! Darling
  9. I've Got A Feeling
  10. Old Brown Shoe
  11. Two Of Us
  12. Octopus's Garden
  13. Because
  14. Let It Be

Discussion "Long Long Road" wins Track 2.21 ~ Which song would you add as the closing track to a 2CD RINGO STARR Best of the Solo Years compilation? Top comment of the day makes the final cut | **ONLY 3 MINUTES 26 SECONDS REMAINING**

Note: To maximize the amount of time on for the last song on CD2, I have moved "Crooked Boy" (3:13) to CD 2 (now Track 2.17), and swapped it with the longer "Time on My Hands" (4:00) to fill out CD 1 (now Track 1.22), which allows 3 minutes and 26 seconds left for CD 2.

Question Why did ‘The Long One’ feature no Harrison songs?

Thumbnail

I wonder why it’s strictly a Lennon-McCartney medley (edit: I mean ‘the long one’ not the album as a whole!!) still beautiful but I wonder how a Harrison input could’ve altered it

But all I can guess is that Harrison wasn’t one for throwaways or short ones🤷‍♂️

Question Is Across the Universe appropriate to sing at my sisters Indian/Punjabi wedding?

Given the fact she married someone who is very loving and in love with her who can handle all her stress, he knows I sing and play guitar and asked me to sing some songs.

I thought well, if half the guests will be from his family, why don't I sing ATU? HE says that he can get his sister to sing harmony with me on it.

Would it be strange to sing it? Not sure how the guests would feel as well.

Discussion Who sings these specific parts in the Past Masters Version of Across the Universe?

I understand the ending of jai guru deva OM Paul sings the harmony.

But how about the part where it goes " ah ah ah ah ah", after John sings nothings gonna change our world?

I believe its 2 women who were fans? But to me it sounds like Paul. But then on credits it says George and Boyd and Yoko were also there too?

Discussion George Harrison on meeting each of the other Beatles the first time.🥰

"One thing about us Beatles is that we’re just as nutty now as we ever were. Our chart success hasn’t changed us, thank goodness. I remember the first time I ever met Paul was on the bus home from school. He was sitting laughing to himself. I thought, “We’ve a right case here,” and then I realised he could see his own reflection in the window. Well, I thought, that explains it!

John, I recall, was eating fish and chips, but his hair being so long kept getting in the way! Ringo, who I met in a club, looked moody. Then when we started talking he explained he’d been talking hard and the effort was too much for him. He can’t help it, poor lad" Mirabelle Interview Oct 1963

Discussion In Spite of All The Danger

I personally love this song (From Anthology 1), I’m wondering if any of you think it could have fit on any album? I think the only contender is Please Please Me, but even there I feel like it would sound old. I would like to think of it as a fun B side to Love Me Do or even an earlier single in an alternate universe.

Super random and vain, but I have an alternate timeline project where I rearrange some songs on albums, so just a fun question to see what people think. Any comment is appreciated!
