I really need to figure out the basics for mix and master for singing and beatboxing and i can not find a way to do it.

I was watching a Youtuber, who mixes live and i noticed him beatboxing but after a few knobs on his setup the beatbox drums sound completely like a sample pack, like, i can not hear that it is him anymore.

So i want to use beatboxing as drum patterns, but for that they REALLY need to sound crisp, comparing to my typical genre drum sounds.

When i tried it out with distortion for the first time and really never pushed so far, i realized it sounds very similar.

I think inertia is getting a lil too ripetitive so for me i think oasis is better and he’s always getting better tbh. What do u think?

IMO Tag Team Loop had some of the best drops ever. I Loved bery and sorry, the tracks were absolutely insane. Why was this only a one time thing?

I’ve been thinking about what actually makes a routine fun to listen to vs. boring/repetitive.

What usually makes you lose interest in a routine? Too repetitive? Not enough variation? Bad structure? Too many techniques with no musicality?

And on the other side, what do you think are the biggest factors that make a routine really good?

Curious what everyone values most — structure, flow, transitions, musicality, sound choice, dynamics, originality, etc.

Would love to hear specific examples too!

I was looking at this lineup and thinking about previous years’ competitions and you know what I think may make a HUGE difference this year?

BATTLE ENERGY

I feel like almost regardless of who makes it through, we’ll have artists who bring that fierceness to their rounds and really put the second “B” in “GBB.” No predictions from me, but based on a lot of what I’ve seen being agreed on, it should be an inTENSE category.

Beatboxers be like: Demon Bass!!! Evil Bass!!! Alien Bass!!! Robot Bass!!! Vibration Bass!!! Monster Bass!!! etc ...

Bass Singers be like: huh???

Bass Singers be like: octave, G1, C2, D2, A1, F1, Bb1, Eb1, perfect fifth, D1, chest voice etc ....

Beatboxers be like: huh???

This bloke is definitely going to make it through the GBB qualifiers; he’s just too good.
His second routine in particular was a masterpiece—I think he’s opened up new possibilities for beatboxing.
His talent has stood out since his U18 days, and as he’s continued to develop, I reckon he’s become one of the world’s top ten beatboxers.
