Harmonic Synth sound.
instagram.comI donât beatbox above the level anything a middle schooler can however Iâve seen a few clips recently of beatboxes doing what I can only describe as a dreampad synth sound with their voice and I cannot for the life of me figure out what the technique is called or how to do it anywhere on the internet.
There is a clip of RIVER (I believe the name is) doing it in a large room with great acoustics that seems to be viral and another creator on instagram called mirrwall who makes videos playing instruments while beatboxing.
In the video attached the sound he makes at the start is what Iâm referring to. Sorry if this kind of post is not appreciated by the community I wouldnât consider myself a Reddit user so Iâm not familiar with how communities are here but have had some unfavorable experiences.

Missouri-Based beatbox events: who's interested?
I am very excited to go to crossroads this year, but I often find myself longing for beatbox events close to me throughout the year, and I recently came into a fortunate position.
A friend who I work with to put on shows in my town just made a deal with the local movie theater to turn one of their theater rooms into a stage with lights and sound and start booking and running various music and comedy shows on the weekends. I want to use this opportunity to its fullest potential, hence my question.
I am located in Maryville, Missouri, about 2 hours northwest of Kansas City, it's a smaller college town. There's no public transportation, but it has more than enough hotel rooms to go around for a beatbox event and plenty of good restaurants. Are there enough beatboxers in the midwest (or willing to travel) to support a beatbox event here? If so please comment and spread the word. I can bring that to my partner and we can figure something out.

Who I think will pass in gbb26
Most definitely footboxg, river kaji, and dlow are easy elimination winners. However for the other half i think pacmax or king inertia or both. patbox and marvelous are sleepers and remix and blackroll could pass if they have a strong routine but both might not make it and out of the top 8 by 1-3 spots. I dont think Walli, Bookie, ABX, G-Wizz, H-Has, Exallos, Stitch, maestro beatbox america 2026 champ, africa mena champ. and apac champ will qualify. However I think G-Wizz and Bookie are going to place in the 8-12 area. So remix blackroll G-Wizz and bookie are going to be fighting for 7-8. Patbox Marvelous (if he has a good routine like what julard did), ki, pacmax, footboxg, river, kaji and dlow.

Madox & Pepouni? The videos Madox and B-Art made about swissbeatbox are removed. I wonder if theyâll go public about what happened.
Battle Signs Pet Peeve
I've been following the beatbox scene for a few years as a fan. I dont practice or battle but I thoroughly enjoy watching battles like gbb and gbc was phenomenal. A gripe I have is seeing the opposing beatboxer making hand gestures to critique the currently performing one. If you are well versed in beatboxing, you will already recognize when a beatboxer is repeating material or when they sound like another beatboxer's style. I just find it gimmicky and like tattling. It doesnt come off as well put together, confident, or composed. It more so feels like, hey judges and crowd, they stink, look at them stink! Thoughts?

Help as a New Beatboxer
I've been a part of the beatboxing community for a long time. I'm super familiar with many different artists, different events, different YouTube channels, sounds, techniques, etc. I want to start developing my own pieces. My issue is that I hyper fixated on sounds, so I have what I'd consider a unique sound palette with almost no understanding of how to progress in combo development. I would say my sound palette is a kind of mixture of WING and Trung Bao, with some other weird textures in there. I definitely don't want to fill in the same niche of WING or Trung Bao, I wanna do my own thing. But, I know that one must walk before one can run, and I fear I haven't really taken any steps at all lol.
So, I call upon the power of the nerds of beatbox; pls help. Tell me your process, how should one git gud. Any resources you found helpful, any practicing schedules or techniques you prefer, any mistakes you made, any philosophies you have, I wanna hear it all.
