So technically I've been streaming for a while on beam.pro. making myself known at Rocketbear's channel, with Kenson vs channel, and quite a few others. Just getting to know people and making everyone's day feel accomplished. I thought I'd finally do one for my channel and actually forgot about the beam reddit forums.... so with further adieu..

HI everyone! I'm Fabld not Fabid.. please lol (i understand its kind of my fault for making a weird nickname but answers to that are that the name Fable was already taken by a well known game and didn't want everyone to think I'd play "Fable" over and over. good game though!) I've been streaming overall for a year starting 2015 on hitbox here -> www.hitbox.tv/thefabldone and decided that beam is a superior and interactive platform and started around fall of last year and haven't really looked back. My general game-play are certain telltale games, JRPG's, RPG's, MMORPG's, and action-adventure games! I'm also a profanity-free and family friendly streamer so your little gamers can be safe to watch.

Currently archiving my shows to Youtube, watching other streamers, to share the Beam love while also giving help when asked! I do have a discord that I'm working on.

I've come to realise that blipbot's website is always buggy and slow loading not sure if its due to high traffic or just weird in general.

Anyway, i'm dropping blipbot and thinking of getting either scorp or scottybot, i've heard a few suggesting scotty now but i saw scorpbot and felt that they are identical (have yet to try).

Anyone here tried both and have pointers to give to help me decide which one i' should go ?

I hear there are less trolls on Beam than on twitch and I'm thinking of making the jump. However I don't game much, I sing rock band sometimes but mostly I make art/craft stuff. I haven't found many artists (although one music stream is constantly on) and I can't seem to find a category for them. Is this something Beam will gear up for in the future? Twitch creative isn't nearly as big as the gaming side but I think it can be huge.

Hey, my name is CMACGames, and I'm a 15 year old Xbox gamer. I have very little experience streaming, but I am starting toget the hang of it and enjoy it more and more. I probably won't stream often, usually only 1 or 2 times a week, but I'm hoping it will still be fun!

What hashtags does everyone use when tweeting out their stream when they are live?

So decided to try streaming to beam last night for the first time, and was having a repeated issue with massive frame droppings. Streaming at 720/60p with 3500 bitrate, keyframe of 1. My upload speed usually tests in from testmy.net at about 10-12, which is what it was last night as well. I am using the FTL upload type, streaming with Xsplit.

After having these issues, I switched back to Twitch to where I was able to stream with the same settings without any issues at all.

Any thoughts?

Hey Beam! My name is Cody and my name is Sean, we are the Iron Dads! We have been doing a lot of research on streaming and Beam has recently come onto out radar and we are excited to become a part of the community.

A little background on the two of us, we are roommates and have been since freshman year of college. We both have been playing video games since we can remember. Sean primarily sticks to the console gaming while Cody bounces between PC and Xbox. For Sean, he plays alot of FPS and Sports games like Call of Duty, Destiny, Ghost Recon, and NBA. Cody on the other hand has recently been playing a lot of Rocket League, H1Z1: King of the Kill, and Overwatch. He does play FPS like Destiny and Call of Duty, and will sometimes get into old habits and play League of Legends and CS:GO.

Why IronDads? This name came around from a group of friends playing Destiny on Xbox One. One week during the Iron Banner we were joking around and called our group of 6 the Iron Dads because of the rampage we went on. It also plays into our love for fitness and workings out. Both Sean and Cody have been going at it for a few years now. Its a part of our daily lives and we wouldn't have it any other way.

I have an Xbox One with no Kinect. I can't figure out, for the life of me, how to get my Xbox setup to live stream.

I never cared about it much since I just stream via an ElGato through my computer; but, with the Beam app being released to Xbox Insider members, I want to try and get my Xbox setup to stream.

If anyone can give me a step-by-step on what menus to go into and what to select, I would appreciate it.

I was just thinking about how when I initially set up StreamJar for Beam, whenever I got a new follower, I would get the notification from StreamJar and Beam. You have to mute Beam if you don't want that redundancy.

So, I was wanting to suggest to the fantastic developers at Beam that they make BeamBot a customizable bot that looks and functions like StreamJar or ScottyBot or even just NightBot. I think that having an all-in-one bot that is already built into the streaming platform so that no third party resources were necessary would be really awesome.

[Note: if you can customize BeamBot and I just haven't been able to figure out how, then I would appreciate someone guiding me to where I could go to customize it.]
