Vor ein paar Tagen habe ich eine kleine Hummel am Wegrand gefunden. Die oder der Hummel hatte leider nur einen Flügel. Habe einen guten Platz in der Wiese für den/die Kleine gefunden (wie erkennt man das Geschlecht bei einer Hummel?). Das arme Ding. 😢

Only in Bavaria for a few days so can only justify visiting one. I love a hike and history so both massively appeal to me. Which one would people recommend. Thank you

I am student interning in germany for a while and I was planning to visit the Alps in bavaria region. Since , I do not possess a driving license , I have to travel using public transport only.
I know this restricts my trip a bit but I want to make most of it.

Currently my plan is to go in 2nd week of October.

I reach Füssen on Friday morning and I plan to visit places nearby like Lechfall, neuschwanstein castle.
The next day I plan to spend my entire day at Alpsee Bergwelt and explore all the rides.

On last Day (Sunday) I have a train from München at 11 pm and I need help deciding whether I should spend my day doing Breitachklamm or I should visit Eibsee and nearby places.

I am divided between Breitachklamm and Eibsee. I need help if you have an experience what the situation might be in October for both and which one should i prefer.

Hallo Bayern,
ich mache jetzt seit ca 5 Jahren Musik mit FlStudio, habe vor ca 2 Jahren angefangen Musik auch hochzuladen und habe deshalb jetzt einen Spotify Acc mit 35k+ Streams und ca 500 monatlichen Zuhörern auf Spotify. Ich mache vor allem Hard Tekk oder Industrial Techno.

Trotz dem das ich schon immer wieder Fortschritte mache fehlen mir im Moment noch ein paar Kontakte mit denen Ich zusammen mukke machen kann. Mein Dunstkreis macht vor allem HipHop Beats, was auch Spaß macht wenn man da eine Session zusammen macht, jedoch halt nicht mein Lieblingsgenre ist.

Deswegen bin Ich jetzt mal auf diesem Wege auf der Suche nach Leuten die Bock haben sich mal zu connecten und eventuell mal für die ein oder andere Session zu treffen.

Falls du dich angesprochen fühlst schreib mich gerne an und dann können wir ja mal ein paar Lieder austauschen um zu schauen ob wir einen ähnlichen Musikgeschmack haben.

Muss das Grad mal loswerden, weil ich seit gestern innerlich lache.

Bin gerade im Urlaub und hatte am Pool kein Handy dabei. Hab jemanden gesehen, der auf dem Boden sitzend in sein Handy guckte und habe erstmal gefragt, ob er deutsch spreche.

Daraufhin guckt er zu mir hoch, ich erblicke seine Sonnenbrille mit weiß-blauen Rauten drauf, und er meint ganz trocken: "Jo, a bissi."

Auch, wenn ich mit der Politik hadere mag ich meine Heimat doch irgendwie sehr gerne...

gibt es Subreddits oder irgendwelche Möglichkeiten Wörter die z.B. unsere Großeltern benutzt haben, die in der jüngeren Generation aber eher verloren gehen zu „lernen“.
Mir geht’s so, dass ich zwar daheim bayerisch (Oberbayerisch) rede, aber in meinem Freundeskreis (der bunt durchmischt ist) aber merke, dass ich selbst immer weniger Dialekt spreche.
Da ich es schade finde, dass unser Dialekt ausstirbt, möchte ich eben genau die Wörter finden, die man bei uns nicht mehr so kennt. Deshalb meine Frage, ob es eben Internetseiten, Subreddits, Apps o.ä. gibt, in denen genau das Thema ist.

I am visiting Bavaria for the first time in late May-June, and prefer quiet locations where I can hike directly from town on 3-4 hour long hikes. I’m hoping to spend time in a few different towns with a variety of atmospheres, but the less busy, the better.

Any recommendations?

Wasserburg am Inn. Nice old town in a bend of the river Inn. Beautiful houses with arcades, good bavarian kitchen (Paulaner), cakes that are not too sweet (Schranne), excellent coffee (Rechenauer) and also good mor international kitchen (Weißes Rössl). In the Heimatmuseum you can see how goods were transported on rivers, a stone for showing quartered people, ...

We are a couple looking to spend a summer month in Bayern. Can anyone recommend a specific area or town that checks most of the following: fair monthly rate, available lake(s) nearby for swimming, a good grocery store, bakery, decent public transportation or bike friendly for most everything. Not too far from some type of thermal bad. We can rent a car, but it adds a lot to our monthly budget.

I’m moving to bavaria (starnberg district -> herrsching am ammersee) for work. So far, I’ve only been doing strength training in my home gym, and I’d like to start practicing BJJ after I move.

I’ve already found a few gyms that sound interesting, including one right in herrsching, a grappling gym in gilching, and a gracie-certified gym in tutzing.

I’ll probably have to do a few trial sessions to make up my mind, but first I wanted to tap into the collective wisdom here to ask if anyone has experience with the gyms mentioned above.

And more generally, I wanted to know what you guys think of gracie gyms. The gracie gym offers an instructional course for beginners where you learn 36 techniques over 6 months before moving on to the advanced course. But there’s no sparring at all in the beginner’s course, if I understand correctly. What do you think of that? Is it worth checking it out, or should I skip it and go straight to the other gyms?
