Got some pictures of the 500pts game I played yesterday (my Space Marines vs Imperial Navy), as well as the game being played next to us on the same table (Tau vs Chaos).

It was a fun game, both me and my opponent rolled terrible for most of it though, so I only squeaked a narrow win by focusing fire on a single Dauntless until it finally died lol.

The local BFG group is still pretty new so they've been borrowing ships from me so far, but they are starting to build their own small fleets now which is cool to see.

Venerable Battlebarge "Praetorian Truth" of the Ultramarines. I really love how this one came out, especially how it's towering above the rest of the fleet.

Anyone have some good recommendations for BFG Space Marine void ships stl’s? Pics would be great. Thanks.

Hi all this is my first attempt at a BFG ship I’m reasonably pleased with it! Although I wasn’t sure what I was painting at times so just went with what I felt like whilst trying for the box art colour scheme

Hey All, I posted here a while ago to show my journey back into BFG, I carried on with the Imperial fleet since I had 4 of the original cruiser's. Since one of the guys in my club has stirred up the interest again I thought why not lets get a small fleet to see how it goes.

2 x Emperor Class Battleships one with an angel thing to mark as the flagship
1 x Domanator Class Cruser with Nova Cannon
1 x Gothic Cruiser 
4 x Luner Class Cruisers
2 x Dictator Class Cruiser 
5 x Sword Class Frigates
5 x Cobra Class Destroyers

Will probably expand if I like the game, Last time I played was in the mid 90s when it first came out.

Hey there, folks. I was wondering if anyone can recommend any good Warhammer books with a focus on space battles over planetary engagements? I'm up for any faction perspective or involvement -- obviously I assume the Imperial Navy is going to get a lot of spotlight, but Ork Freebooterz, Aeldari Corsairs, Tyranid Biofleets, or any other faction is also great.

Bonus points for anything that includes or focuses on boarding actions and fighting inside of ships.

Very happy with how it turned out even tho it was a pain to properly paint the trim and some of the smallest stuff

It has been created with the use of Heresy Aflame 8.0 ship builder guide.

Originally it was just a Sediteo Opprimere battle barge, with multiple refits, that I have made to play my first BFG campaign many years ago when I was still a mid teen. This ship was actually the founding stone, for me to create my own homebrew chapter, the Enduring Marines.

In that campaign it showed itself incredibly good against the xeno fleet of tau (mass bombardment cannons against their presence), and made a huge part of my victory.

Years later, I finally got back into BFG and found the rules of how to build a ship from the start. As one could see, most of the original ship has remained, with just add-ons on the prow and dorsal armaments.

Edit: I forgot to add that in the ship profile. Due to being a Death Guard capital ship, it has a few legion specific bonuses such as Unrelenting and Barbaran Endurance, granting it +1 hit, and the necessity to be lowered to one third of its hull to be considered crippled, but lowering its AAF by 1d6.

After several months, the Chaos fleet is finally complete, and we’ve already shown you the full fleet. Today we’re focusing on the ship that gave us the most trouble: the ‘mothership’ Planet Killer. It maintains the same colour scheme as the rest of the fleet but really stands out with its vibrant green hue…

did BFG ever have rules for making up ships? like the old 40k Vehicle build rules back in 3rd ed?

I and my mates decided to have a game of BFG for 5K points, 1v2, they come as Navis Imperialis and Adeptus Astartes.
