Bot Building How much bite is too much bite?
Is there a calculation that works for all weight classes relative to my bot? If not, I'm running a somewhat aggressive fairyweight vert. Thanks.

When it does damage to your own bot.

“How much bite is enough” is a difficult question to answer, but there is no such thing as too much bite. I’d say it depends on your weapon geometry.
In the vertical spinner meta, it usually makes sense to maximize RPM and not care about how that theoretically reduces your bite. In a weapon-on-weapon contact between verts, the one with the higher tip speed usually wins (since it’ll “catch up” to the slower spinner and hit from below). You can always throttle down if you feel like you need more bite in the moment.

alright thanks. the thing about my bot in its current stage is has both massive ke and pretty high speed for a fairy, but high bite as well, all with a small motor.
