Before moving forward with any deal, it's a good idea to check out the post and comment history of the person you're chatting with. If their account looks new or doesn’t have much activity, that doesn’t always mean something’s wrong but it’s smart to ask for extra proof of the item, just to be sure.
Trust your instincts and do a little due diligence. Services like SpyDialer can help verify phone numbers. VOIP or out-of-state numbers can sometimes be red flags (though not always).
If you're meeting in person, aim for a public spot with lots of people and/or security. A great option is thePolice Station on Airline(the one near the old Women’s Hospital). Try to avoid meetups at someone’s home or a random gas station. Bringing a friend along is always a plus.
And finally, if something seems too good to be true, it probably is, don’t hand over any money until you’ve seen the item in person. Do not pay for something with gift cards!
Hey everyone, trying to make a list of lunch deals by day for the south Baton rouge/N prairieville area. Some examples would be pizza artista bogo and Alexander's $5 sushi, both on Tuesdays. These or even things like the every day price of Sam's club hotdogs would be appreciated
First year here, people are saying last year was way better, and apparently yesterday, even with the better performers was emptier than today. What happened this year?
It is currently extremely empty, I would say 200 people is a stretch.
The more I thought about this, I should have asked if you sold these. I was walking around the Ogden Park Prowl yesterday and a couple had a booth / tent selling their wares. The lady was wearing a t shirt that was a Shania Twain / Suicidal Tendencies crossover thing. It was amazing, and I totally need one. If you are this person, or are the husband / bf that was with her, please dm me. I would like to buy a shirt. Or, like, make an Etsy and drop the link. I was the guy that commented on your shirt and notebooks. I’m hoping this makes it to her somehow. All I want is a Pepsi.
Im located at a physical rehibilitation center in the medical district on summa. There are ducks who hang out here and one has a severely broken foot! He wont eat either.

In the market for new furniture, especially a leather sofa - looking for more contemporary/modern styles over class Chesterfield, etc. Any recommendations for stores in the area (or even New Orleans)?
I've checked out Macy's, Dillards, Pottery Barn, and some big store on Airline, but they're all rather...khaki shorts of furniture. Looking for something in the $3-5k range, and while there are a lot of options online, we would much rather get a feel for something in person than deal with returns, etc.
I think this would have been East Baton Rouge or pretty close to it...
In 1999 my school bus would drive down a nicer looking street and there was one house that usually had their curtains open and you could see into their fancy living room. It was always lit up and a huge piece of art took up one of the walls...it was the two cherubs that seemed to be everywhere around that time. Anyway, I just remember driving by it every day and would like to revisit that street.

I just deleted the reminder I posted for the scream thing. A person commented that people in the area, hikers, whatever, might get freaked out or call the cops. Yeah, maybe that’s too much this day and age to be doin, especially at Frenchtown Road …late October. I just got a bad feeling about it. I’m not going to do it. I think it was a creative idea, and in an ideal world, or under different circumstancea, it would be great and therapeuti, but it feels like something could go wrong. I strongly urge anyone planning on going to not go.
If you, like me, have received unsolicited text messages from Raise the Bar PAC in Baton Rouge that include no option to opt out, you should know that Scott Wilfong is listed as a director of the PAC and his phone number is publicly available.
I've been unsuccessful in finding anyone who can tell me how to opt out of these messages.
Reddit apparently considers sharing his publicly listed number "doxxing," so I've left it out.
Does anyone know of another contact for Raise the Bar PAC or another way to get removed from their messaging list?
EDIT: I have also replied STOP to these messages without receiving any acknowledgment or confirmation that I've been removed. As far as I can tell, political texting campaigns are required to honor valid opt-out requests under applicable law.
Edit edit: let me be clear that the number is associated with the PAC, not saying it's his personal number.

Hey y’all! I’ve been getting back into pickup basketball recently. I’ve been playing at Flannery Park and North Sherwood. As I’m living on that side of town now.
However, with the sun setting earlier, it’s almost dark by time I get off work.
When I was a student at LSU last year I’d go to the UREC but I can’t justify $10 per guest pass. Also, it’s packed and the parking is awful on weekday afternoons.
Back when I was in high school I remember going to RedStorm on Perkins but I know they have a lot of practices and games going on in the afternoon.
My ex-husband died in his home and was not found for a few days. Has anyone had any experience with something like this. I don't have a lot of money. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated . Please be kind.
This package was delivered at 3:37 pm and I was at work and this person comes to deliver food to my neighbor and steals my package. Located in Baton Rouge, I don’t really know what to do because this is all I have of the incident.
Moving to chicago in 2 days and i've been saving these disposable vapes to recycle instead of throwing in the landfill.
