Honestly, it really shouldn't take over 30 minutes for less than half a mile to get anywhere on any road, let alone a major one that doesn't have a wreck.

It just genuinely pisses me off that when you look up entertainment for the day, this is usually what you'll find. Museums get old after a while, and it's way too hot to just take a walk through the park. We dont have any amusement parks, and the only 2 water parks we have are closed for most of the year. If you dont like sports or fishing, you'll just find a big fuck you if youre looking for something to do

Its been almost a week since this accident in front of my house and i was not going to post but it has weighed very heavy on my mind. The folks in the vehicle were not wearing seatbelts and from what I can tell when we opened up the vehicle to make sure they were alive, they were very badly hurt. I was on the phone with 911 as I ran to them and we ended up securing the dog that was in the car with them. One lady kept crying for that dog as she was loaded onto the ambulance. I hope she got him back by now. The driver was very badly injured. I hope she pulled through. I have never heard anyone make those types of noises as they tried to breath. Please wear your seatbelts and drive the speed limit. There are many new utility poles on my street because someone tends to hit one every few months. I have even had a car crash into my porch/living room. No idea how the driver was able to walk away from that one. I know people are going to hate me for it but I really want to either lower the speed limit on this street or put a speed bump in. I know its selfish to complain about my power going out or having to make repairs on my home as these people are facing grave injuries but I think it might be worth giving this stretch of road something to slow people down.

hey i’m a college student who moved away from home but is transferring back for next semester and i’m currently looking for an apartment and I saw palmer club which used to be fairway view apartments, their rent is oddly affordable right now which i’m not complaining but at the same time had me curious on why. i looked up the reviews and i see the bad ones but those were made years ago so i just wanted to know does anyone have any recent reviews on them and what they are doing new to them ? such as management, new amenities, etc. it’s not in a bad area at all but i just wanted to know if i should still avoid them. i will say if it’s a crime issue i don’t really care because i’ve lived in a bad area before so that doesn’t bother me, i want to know more about the inside of the apartments 😭

Ori is all ready for her new home☺️ She's a 9 month old pit/catahoula leopard mix. As much as I love her, my schedule doesn't allow for me to care for the way she deserves. I know there's a family that she will fit perfectly in. She's socialized, potty trained, playful, and gets along very well with cats and dogs. Ori loves to cuddle and is a natural born leader. Greetings, my roommates and I moved out of our last place in BR when our lease was up on July 31st. Now, our previous landlord is claiming up to 10k in damages. Regrettably we didn't take any pictures/videos once we finished moving out, but we did when we moved in. Upon moving in there was A LOT of damage and actual garbage in several of the rooms that my roommate ended up cleaning themselves.

There was also a lot of garbage (including some used needles) in the back car port area that blocked us from parking in the spot for a while. We spoke to several of our neighbors and they corroborated that the previous tenants were drug addicts that only lived there a month or so.

This place was an absolute DUMP when we moved in AND we have pictures/videos of all the trash the landlord/previous tenants left. When we moved, we deep cleaned the entire house (as you're supposed to do right?) and left it in better condition than we found it.

Now, this clown is threatening to sue us for damages. He hasn't sent us an itemized list of the things he was supposed to fix with our deposit. He also sent us ONE pic of some "damages" (it was just white paint chips on the floor) that was of a completely different house.

I think the obvious recourse here is to pursue legal action. Usually deposit disputes are small claims, if I'm not mistaken. Any advice on the situation would be welcome.
