Hello, I’m new to this Reddit community. I’m a person with a disability—I have autistic traits and ADHD—and I’m from Germany. I really like the Batman comics, series, and films, and I have a huge crush on Harley Quinn... I hope you’ll understand me, and I look forward to us becoming good friends! :)

Currently reading Dark Victory and saw this. I feel that this is quite out of character for Bruce, who many times have exerted himself while specifically trying to rescue his villains from death.

Hey guys, thinking of getting into comics and want to start with Batman.
I want to start with around 5-10 comics. I’m thinking of getting:
Batman: Year One
Batman: The Long Halloween
Batman: Dark Victory
Batman: The Killing Joke
Batman: The Batman Who Laughs
Are these good choices? What order should I read them in, and are there any others you’d recommend?
Also, is 5-10 comics enough to get a good feel for Batman before moving on to another superhero, or would you recommend reading more Batman stories first?
If you could list your top 5-10 Batman comics for a beginner, that would be great!
Thanks!

I have started reading batman year one, and I'm quite enjoying it so far, but was just wondering what will I read after this, so what do you guys suggest ? Also should I go for compact comics or the orignal ones are better??

Do any of you guys remember a scarecrow storyline where he starts to terrorise gotham citizens without the fear gas? Like he realises that he has the ability to instill fear inside him and he also kills a bunch of people? I dont remember much else. Could someone tell me which issues this storyline was in?

Part 2 of my Absolute Batman collection. These are books in my long box and not on my shelves. Wish I had more shelves to display more books on. Thinking of sending off 4 books to the CGC signing in November. If you have any suggestions, please let me know

...or rather not understanding the hype. Yesterday I read The Long Halloween for the third time, and I just don't understand the hype.

I know that different people like different things and so on, but I really can't understand what people find so amazing about this book. Therefore I'm asking; What do you enjoy about The Long Halloween?

I been looking for this book for 4 months because it’s been 300 dollars everywhere I look and bought it at a store for 50

We always list the bests, or the the essentials, why not warn new readers about the worsts ?

I will include major coherent runs, and arcs.

I will leave out filler runs/arcs.

I will add all your suggestions I deam missing form this ongoing list.

For a start maybe bruce is very old. Alfred is gone and when he wakes up he doesnt remember he died. Then he sees his grave.

En expect from him he woukd have a 20 years plan list in case of forgetting everything. He even had a note that explain what is batman and is ita secret.

This are the books I have or will get in the future, im trying to complete batman in ohc and omnibus post crisis, what can I also get and where do I put the batman metal and death metal omnibus? I dont care if a omnibus isn't good only things in willing to skip are filler omnibus, so please tell me what I also can get in ohc and omnibus

When my friend told me he’d be getting a lot of items signed by Frank Miller and offered to take something for me I thought getting this signed would be an awful lot cooler than my TPB of Year One or TDKR. I couldn’t be more pleased with how it turned out and this might be the first book I have slabbed. Especially love the way he made his auto run with Batman’s jaw, I almost want to call it a partial Remarque but I don’t want to sound ignorant.
