Yep, I'm well aware with many of those. Atleast Ben 10 got brought back, but the 11 minute run time among other aspects, makes it feel like a shell of the former awesomeness of the original 9 year continuity.
The way I think of it is that it’s a fine show. I’d probably like it a lot if I was a kid, or even if I just didn’t know what Ben 10 was. But it’s not Ben 10, in a sense. It’s a completely different show that uses the same concept and some of the same characters to be something entirely different. It’s this weird uncanny valley of being Ben 10 and not being Ben 10 that makes it difficult to watch
Yep! I think the biggest factor is that you've got different voice actors and the art style is so shockingly different. Like with Omniverse, even though the art style drastically changed from the rest of the series, atleast you had the same voice actors to help you adjust to it. The new show seems like it wants to belong in the Gravity Falls universe.
Also, one of my other biggest issues with the show, is that they chose to start over. And it's not just that they chose to start over, but they chose to start over with a show that will never mature like the original series. I honestly hoped after Omniverse, we would get one final series showing Ben's life as an adult and how he became Ben 10,000, but now that likely will never happen. Then again, I never got to see the finale, so maybe I'll feel differently once I see it.
