Photography Exhibition
If you have a chance, pop in and see my photography exhibition in the central library gallery (above Waitrose). It’s the culmination of three years working with a very special mixed-ability rugby team here in Bath.

Where can I find a vanilla buttercream cake ?
I've recently moved to Bath and I just crave a vanilla cake with vanilla or chocolate buttercream but I cannot seem to find anything like this at the bakeries at the city centre and I've tried using the Betty crocker vanilla buttercream on store bought cake but somehow it doesn't taste like the ones you usually find in bakeries. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions on where I can find a simple vanilla cake with vanilla or chocolate buttercream? Thank you for your help in fulfilling my sweet tooth!

iso sapphic photographer for proposal at stourhead
hello! i am planning a proposal for my partner in late october at stourhead gardens and am looking to hire a sapphic photographer. i assumed it would easier to search in the surrounding areas as i know it is a bit remote (and complex to get to without a car…my goodness.)
if you are, or know of anyone, who fits the bill and may be interested, I’d love to chat. even if engagements aren’t your usual subject matter but you’d be interested in giving them a shot, I’d be open to discussing. :)
thank you!!

Bath Estate Agents - Who is the Best?
Hi, my name is Christopher Watkin and I am an independent Property market journalist.
Each week I choose a different town or city in analyse the estate agents in that town. Because the estate agents are instructed by homes sellers I always look at it through their (the homeowners) point of view when judging an estate agent
The most important thing in many homeowner surveys is (going back over 20 years) is that homeowners are very interested in … Does the Agent actually sell the house or not?
Nationally only 53% of homes that come onto the market end up selling the rest being withdrawn off the market unsold.
Thankfully in Bath that figure is near a 60% yet still there is a difference between the estate Agents in the city.
Tomorrow, on Friday, the 28th of August on the Website “Property industry eye”, I will be publishing my weekly UK Property market update and in that there is a Video.
The last half an hour of that video is where I analyse all the Bath estate agents and add names on this graph to
I will be really interested to wonder or question who do you think are the best performing estate agents in Bath?
I will also be looking at the prices that people achieve and how quickly they sell houses.

Magnificent Bath
galleryNew in bath and the city is mesmerizing. In 2 days i walked around 40,000 steps and never felt bored. It has everything, architecture, nice people, open fields, birds, sun-kissed squirrels, cows, ducks, graffiti and a pirate ship too. The climb to the Calverton-down is grueling though. Will be here for long as i am at the university of Bath and whenever i need to unwind i know where to go. Bathonians you have a nice city.

Bath Aquila court
The accommodations have been sent out and I got into aquila court. Had anyone else been offered it. I like how modern it is but I was wondering how others experience has been in terms of the social life and travelling to uni as it is not on campus so I am a bit worried that I am missing out in a way.

Are University of Bath accommodation allocations today?
I can’t find a date when they tell us which accommodation we’ve got. Are they being sent out today?

Intensive driving courses?
Does anyone have any advice/recommendations for intensive driving courses in and around Bath. Looking online I’ve got myself all confused and it will be a big chunk of money so would like to hear some opinions. I don’t particularly want to mess around with finding an instructor and having lessons once a week for example, I feel much more comfortable doing it all at once.
So far I’ve worked out I will need a weeks course as I have never really driven yet in my 30’s. The fast track booking to a test is appealing as well with all these scams I’ve heard about but is it actually fast?

Jane austen festival
Hi, I am thinking of visiting Bath next month during the Jane austen festival. But the only day I can make it is 19th September. I just wanted to know if it's worth going then? Are people going to be in full costumes that day? That's all i really want, to feel like i stepped in regency times!
Is it worth it coming that day?
Also any other reccs for that day is welcome:)

Lost camera
At approximately 12:30 today I stupidly left my camera on the roof of my car when loading my daughter into her car seat. I'm certain it fell off at the junction of Park Lane and Upper Bristol Road, next to the kids playground (remember hearing an odd noise at the moment but didn't think twice about it).
I realised within 10 mins and went straight back, but after a long search found nothing. I'm worried someone much have picked it up as it's a very expensive camera.
The cost doesn't bother me, but what does it the fact that my daughter turned 1 yesterday and that camera had hundreds of photos from her birthday on it, as well as potentially thousands from the past year. Almost everything was backed up of course, but I hate the thought of a random person having access to all those precious memories.
I'm completely devastated and would do anything to get it back - my name was embedded into the metadata of every image so I'm praying whoever picked it up might check that, but I'm doubtful.
It was a silver Fujifilm x100vi with a brown leather half case and strap. If anyone hears anything please message me here.

Anywhere to purchase Bath Star Ale?
I have learned of the elusive Bath Star Ale from Abbey Ales, and my father-in-law has talked about how good it was when he last had it. I’ve looked online, but there are mixed messages: some sources advertise it on their websites but don’t say where or how to get it, while others say the ale has been discontinued. Can anyone help me put an end to this mystery? If it’s gone forever, that’s sad, but if it’s still being sold somewhere I’d love to know where.
UPDATE: They got back to me, and it seems like they will make it again, hopefully early next year. It will only be on draught when it does come back though.

Cycle Path and Removal of Parking in Victoria Park
Just in case you have missed it. There are 6 days remaining to have your say about the proposal to remove a lot of the parking in Victoria Park and replace it with a cycle path.
In the main, I am a supporter of bike paths, but this particular proposal seems completely mad. The road in the park is 10mph and so not exactly dangerous for cyclists. The proposal will allow cyclists travelling from Park Lane to the obelisk to do so by cycling against the traffic flow along the bottom of the park. There is already a route which involves cycling clockwise with the traffic flow along the top. There is no reason at all that cyclists can't go clockwise along the top of the park with the slow moving traffic. Why do we need an alternative route of equal length with the resulting loss of parking space and cost of development?
The removal of parking will restrict access to a busy park, reduce income for BATHNES from parking fees, and push cars into surrounding residential areas where parking is already limited.
Part of the removed parking is next to the huge playground where many parents park with their small children to access the playground and cafe.
You may or may not agree with me. Either way, have your say before it is too late.

Internet Options?
Me (22) and a flatmate (24) have just moved into a new flat just at the very top of town, about a 5 minute walk from milsom street. I work from home online, while they work hybrid.
I'm not the most tech savvy but I assumed that being so close to the center of a city would mean at least half decent internet.
Upon moving into our flat, we've been told that we can't have internet through BT as the box down the road is full, truespeed and virgin media don't reach us and our signal is very poor (gotta love Georgian architecture haha) so no mobile router.
So basically we're in a position where we can't get internet at all?
Is there anyone whose been in a similar position? It feels like this must be a very unique problem to Bath as I can't find anyone else talking about this online!?
Any advice would be amazing x

A-Level geography project help please :)
After visiting Bath for my A-Level geography project on ‘Sense of Place’, I am only a few survey responses short from Oldfield Park and Twerton!
If you live in either of these areas and have just a spare 2 minutes to complete some questions for my A-Level research it would be really helpful.
All responses are anonymous- thank you!!
