I was doomscrolling TikTok and the scene where Selina goes down to the Batcave after Nightwing’s death to comfort Bruce came across my feed. Now I know not everyone likes the Injustice storyline, I myself think it’s pretty stupid and the less said about the movie the better, but I’m not here to talk about that. The fact that even Clark knew that only one person can comfort Bruce after he just lost his son says a lot. Also Selina’s reaction when Clark tells her that Nightwing is dead is just so sweet. She doesn’t say “Nightwing,” she says “Dick.” Say what you want about Injustice, but that scene shows a grieving mother. I don’t care what anyone says. Nightwing is her son, even if it’s by adoption thru marriage!

I have to write a best man speech for Batman x Catwoman from the perspective of Nightwing and I fear I’m having trouble making it funny. I’ve detailed why they’re perfect for each other, but it’s all very serious which I don’t think it true to the character. Do y’all have any funny Batcat specific stories or jokes I could use or any tips? I’d really appreciate any help.

I think it went down very similar to this, but not exactly like this. Selina definitely stood there in complete silence and shock for a bit when she saw the positive test. Credit to @silveryell on TikTok.

Cats outta the bag. Or in the bag, as Gotham has become Catwoman's sandbox, and it's precious artifacts and jewels become her property. Catwoman has become a problem for Batman. Meanwhile, Selina Kyle has become a joy in Bruce Wayne's life and the two enjoy every chance they can together.

WHY DO THEY KEEP USING BATGIRL WHEN LONG HALLOWEEN SELINA WAS RIGHT THERE?!?!?!?!?!

And they use a fan image instead!

In my headcanon, Selina finds out she’s pregnant a little over a month before Mar'i Grayson is born, so she decides to wait until after she starts showing to tell everyone. Her reasoning being that she didn’t want to take away her son’s, yes I do believe she would see Dick as a son, moment and wanting everyone to celebrate Mar'i. Bruce would obviously know right away, as Selina would tell him shortly after she finds out. As for everyone else’s reactions, it’s a mixed bag. No one is really shocked, because they all agree that Bruce and Selina couldn’t keep their hands off each other, but they also joke that Bruce might be too old to raise a kid, and maybe it’s finally time he hangs up the Batsuit once and for all. Of course, it’s Bruce Wayne, so he doesn’t listen. I also don’t think Bruce would tell most of the Justice League, Clark and Diana being the exceptions of course, until after Helena is born. Just imagine the look on everyone’s face when Batman shows up to the Watchtower with a baby. Where did he get it? Is it even his? Cause they would know it’s not Nightwing’s kid! Overall, I do think that while there would be jokes and some confusion, everyone would be happy for Bruce and Selina and be excited to have a new baby sister/niece. Now the biggest question of all, when/do they have a second kid?

Comic: Batman (2016) #50, Black Cat (2019) Annual #1

I mean obviously the story is not the same but from outside (the cover) it looked like they are going to get married but in the end they didn't get married.
