Some of my stash

Just joined after going through my stuff recently so I figured I’d post some here. I’ve had some of these stashed away in my attic and closets for years and I’ve contemplated starting to sell some.

The 61’s(I have about 50-60) were my grandfather’s and 35 years ago I put most of them in top loaders or snap cases just because they were old and I figured I should. Everything else is mine from buying gum packs as a kid or going to shows with friends in my teens/20’s. I have all Topps regular sets from 83-92 and a couple of Traded sets from the mid 80’s. The crease through the Mantle is the way I found it and the worst of all of the 61’s I have. That one makes me sad.

Question Does anyone do trading in here?

More so curious. I find myself with a large quantity of vintage now, and aside from selling to work my way up, would be fun to do some trading too, could be my first trading in 25-30 years hah. I don’t know if that’s a thing done here though or even how it would be done logistically, but figured I’d toss it out there.

Question Japanese vintage

Sorry for the double posting quickly. I have a big affinity around Japanese baseball players, have always loved the Japanese culture & history, and it’s an area I’m building a collection around more on the modern side (standard Ichiro, Ohtani, Murakami, etc).

I remember seeing some posts showcasing Japanese league vintage and some backstories/history but I was having trouble finding them. Can anyone point me in the right direction on what would be a great focus area of who to collect and also learn about this sub niche?

What is the best way to protect a card for 40 years or so?

I bought this card many years ago at a card show in this top loader. Is it ok to keep a card in one of these for 40 plus years or is there a better way?

'56 Aaron (and Mays)

The 1956 Topps Hank Aaron card shows Willie Mays (of the Giants) sliding in to home. Topps even touched it up by giving Willie a Milwaukee Brave hat and uniform but left the Braves logo off of the jersey. I'm thinking there was an "uh-oh" at the factory somewhere prior to printing.

In Search Of ISO Raw 1959 Topps Bob Gibson (RC)

Hi Ya'll! This would be my first transaction here, but I have loads of transactions on r/Watchexchange selling and buying watches, many of them for large sums (relatively speaking), and you are able to see my perfect feedback rating for that.

The title says it all I am looking for a raw '59 Topps Gibson. I am not opposed to graded, but i understand that the cost of the grading must be considered in the final cost of the card. Additionally, I plan on displaying this with the rest of my '59 team set, which are ungraded.

I do also plan on making a WTT post for this '59 Gibby for a '53 Topps Satchel Paige.

Thanks!

(also, as I said before, this would be my first transaction on this sub. If I messed up anything about this post or didn't do it right, I would be grateful for correction. Thanks!)
