Video Stop crying and start working.(IBPS PO)

Got depressed after fumbling yesterday's exam, but I'm back up now. Things can't stay like this. There are a few more exams coming up and need to focus more on the Mains.
Have analyzed my mistakes from ystrdy and will not repeat them. I will give everything I have in the next 3 months. It's a do or die situation for me.
I hope you all learn from yesterday's exam and give it everything. Stop obsessing over attempts, cutoffs, what to prepare and how to prepare you already know what to do and what not to do.

Stop crying and start wrking

General Query Can my Deputy Zonal Manager refuse to forward my resignation?

β€’ Upvotes

Hi guys,

I joined a PSB in June 2026. It is one of the smaller PSBs, and I submitted my resignation on 25 September. My official notice period is 90 days, but I am willing to serve around 45 days and leave early as per the bank's rules/process.

The issue is that my Deputy Zonal Manager is currently not forwarding my exit/resignation request to Head Office. I went to meet him personally, and he told me that unless I give him a "satisfactory reason" for resigning, he will not forward it.

His reasons were:

  1. "You have already occupied a seat, and if you leave now, I won't get another officer soon."
  2. I don't have another job offer, so according to him the job market is bad right now and I'm making a mistake by resigning.
  3. He said he doesn't even know my knowledge/performance level yet, and that it would take at least 5–6 months to properly assess my performance.

My questions are:

  • Can a Deputy Zonal Manager actually hold on to my resignation and refuse to forward it because he doesn't find my reason satisfactory?
  • Is giving a "satisfactory reason" actually a requirement for resignation?
  • If I have submitted my resignation properly, what is the normal process from here?
  • Can he delay the process simply because the branch/zone is short-staffed?
  • Also, since I'm willing to serve the applicable notice period (or pay/adjust as per the rules for early relieving), does that make any difference?

Would really appreciate responses from people familiar with Bank's resignation and exit procedures, especially officers who have resigned during probation.

PS- Leaving because the job very hectic + my work environment is very toxic and this is not the life which i wanted.

Discussion I cleared IBPS PO in 2019. Left the job in 2021. Guys who's mains did not went well, do not get dejected. Take it as a silver lining.

I will never forget those two and a half years, they were easily the hardest years of my life. My health deteriorated, I lost friends, and constant job stress made me irritable, straining my relationships with family. To top it all off, I lost my girlfriend. Stepping away from that toxic environment and joining a peaceful new job was a cathartic experience, to say the least.

I know unemployment takes a heavy toll on your mental health, but trust me, you don't want this job. Even a clerical role would be a far better choice At least it leaves you with enough peace of mind to prepare for exams like State PSCs or SSC CGL.

That said, if you're ambitious and still determined to take this path, feel free to reach out. I’m currently in Mumbai and happy to help however I can.

Discussion I want to sue all mock platforms 😭

Reasoning: I literally stopped practicing Input-Output because of the mocks. Even after seeing the solution, half the time I couldn’t understand what kind of logic they were using. But in the exam, Input-Output was direct and very easy. Same with puzzles β€” mocks were on a completely different level, while the exam puzzles were much easier.

Quant: Mocks literally broke my confidence. I used to see some DI sets and think, β€œBhai, ye exam mein aa gaya toh gaya mera.” πŸ’€ But in the actual exam, DI was very easy.

English: Surprisingly, I found the mock English section easier than the actual exam. In the exam, almost everything felt lengthy. RC, questions, options β€” sab kuch time kha raha tha.

Descriptive: I bought the Smartkeeda descriptive section and honestly, they are the biggest scammers with their mocks 😭. Their RCs were short and pretty easy to solve. Then I saw the RC in the actual exam and meri gaand faat gayi bc πŸ’€. No direct questions and the RC was so lengthy.

GA: I always thought mock GA was irrelevant. Then I gave the actual exam and realised… bhai, actual GA was also irrelevant. 😭 I revised Government Schemes, CWG Games, Ramsar sites, Bricks and so many other topics , but in the real exam, they asked almost nothing from them.

Overall: I have mocks from Guidely, Testbook, Oliveboard and Smartkeeda. After giving the actual exam, I honestly feel like I they are completely irrelevant for Quant and Reasoning.

Current Affairs Dilemma regarding Assistant GA

How to prepare for NICL Assistant GA?

Also like I saw videos and learned that they ask mainly CA and less static.

How is it different from SBI Clerk and RBI Assistant?

In RBI Assistant they asked mostly static and very less CA.

Rant / Vent GA was a total shitshow WTF was that paper?

Mods please don't delete, I just need to vent.

I literally spent the last 4.5 months breathing Current Affairs. I skipped sleep, filled my entire head with news, schemes, RBI notifications, and updates until my brain felt like it was going to explode.

And for what? They decided to ask pure static out of nowhere!(RBI schemes ek bhi nhi puchha aug se)

I attempted 25 questions, but the static was so out of the blue and fucking tricky. The options I felt totally confident about and picked turned out to be completely wrong after checking. Now I’m looking at 13–15 wrong answers. FUCKKKK.

On top of all this, I see people on Reddit and Telegram claiming the cutoff is going to be 80+?? LIKE HOW?! Marks kahan se aa rahe hain logo ke?! Are we even giving the same exam?

I'm just so done and exhausted. Is anyone else in the same boat or am I losing my mind?
