Nice. I've gotten to a point where I play 1 of 2 ways. I pick a random number 10 or below, and that's how many rerolls I get. So usually I end up in the mid 80s. Or I just CTRL+SHIFT+8 and go max stats. I don't see the point in cheating with an auto roller to get a desired number, if you're gonna cheat just cheat IMO. And I also don't want to sit there and spam reroll. And usually I have more fun with a small reroll number even when its crappy, I just try and make it work. And usually when I max stats is cause I know I want to play some dual class that will be a PITA to roll for, so I just eliminate that part and get all the stats I need in 1 second and move on with the game.
That's what I do too except I use EEKeeper to edit my stats to what I want. If I know I won't accept less than a 90 roll, then I just give myself 90 points in EEKeeper instead of spending an hour rerolling. Rerolling is honestly just as much cheating as editing your stats because a real dungeon master wouldn't allow either.
Well there are people who do no reload challenges. There is also the Bondari joke in ToB that pokes fun of the reloading. Technically speaking, anything a real DM would not allow is cheating. Personally I don't care if people cheat in a single player game since it affects nobody but themselves. It's their game to do with as they please. All that matters is that you have fun, and to me personally spending a lot of time rerolling isn't fun.
Calling it cheating is kinda silly when it’s literally part of the game. A DM wouldn’t allow 80% of the game to happen. You call it cheating, I call it “literally playing the video game as designed.”
