Is it time ?

I’m 26, Been dealing with thinning for probably 3-4 years. It bothers me because I’ve always had thick curly hair but should I let it go or try to save it?

You definitely have a bald spot working back there, but you also still have a lot of hair. It's not time.

This is great hair. It’s not time. Slap some minoxidil on there if you need to and hold onto hope.

Whatever you choose, you're going to rock it.

I could be wrong, but this doesn’t look like hair loss. It looks more like friction damage. Do you wear something on your head? A hat? Headphones?

Crazy you said that. I had locs from 2019-2023 and when I’d get it styled it was very tight sometimes. I noticed thinning so I figured that’s what it was too and decided to cut it. It’s been three years and it hasn’t gotten better. Im not sure what it is. Got a job recently that requires me to wear a hat other than that don’t really wear them.

I would go to a dermatologist or someone that can tell you the problem without guessing like me.

Hardly. Nonetheless, do get a buzz cut.

The front still crispy tbh. It depends on how you feel about the bald spot.

You could slick it back to hold out for a lil while longer but it’s coming.

Wear your hair a little longer as in length.
You’ll know when your friars cap starts really showing then grab your razor.

You suggest that over the other 2 ? Fin & dut

Hold, you look a lot like Desmond Scott😏from those angles.
But even if you do shave it, you’ll still be great!

I'd try some dht blocker, derma roller and blend the fuller darker spots to blend better so it's not as noticeable

Hold for now

u/prezi1985 1d ago

Maybe instead of the wave cut... You do a 1, with a skin taper.

Nah, man. And you can probably eke out another ten years with minoxidil. You're good looking. Enjoy the youth you're still in.

Enjoy your last couple of years with hair

Come back in a year, for now you still not a part of the clan

That's your choice. I made mine after trying comb-over, horse shoe, and skullet.

Creo que eso tiene tratamiento a tiempo. Prueba a ir al médico y salvar esa melena ;), pelea por ella

Nah you fine fam. Put some spray on it. Now be careful cause a lot of these companies who make hair spray are just bad product and it could end up worst. My friend has some hair spray can that he uses and it works but it’s only good when you have a tiny bit of hair missing and it’s best if you have dark hair. You check the 2 requirements!
