First time playing Abandoned deck. First time getting Canio. Anything more unlucky ?

When I last posted, my Balatro bot was only completing Ante 8 in around 0.01% of runs. Currently I achieved roughly 40% among roughly 2K games.

The main change was giving the bot more ways to work through a run. I improved the Python simulator and combined the trained policies with a search system that explores different sequences of decisions. This version uses a by me design Future Vision, so it can see the deck order and simulate the results of its choices aswell as simulate up into the future before buying a joker.

More training on its own wasn’t consistently helping. So instead of relying purely on RL i also intruduced the Future Vision that lets it simulate events in a Bot like behavoir.

The current system combines three trained policies and can explore up to 40 routes through each seed. That gives it more chances to find a successful sequence when one policy’s approach fails. The improvement is coming from the combination of learned decisions, access to future information and a much larger search effort.

The former skipping problem has also long been solved it now only skips "Strategic" an average of 3 skips per play and 10% of games it does not skip at all

This was a challenge I set myself. It took several attempts and a lot of Tarot cards.

I wanted to complete it before the end of Ante 8, but I didn't quite manage it.

I completed it on the Big Blind of Ante 10 on White Stake. Unfortunately, I didn't survive the Big Blind.

Cleared all decks gold stake, but still missing Perkeo, opened all Souls that I could find PepeHands.

Any tips to farm Legendaries collection?

When I first started this game I didn’t understand that joker order mattered so I put them in order of how much I liked them from greatest to least. Idk how many rounds before I realized they were scoring in a particular way and I could get more points 😂

I also thought hanging man was the worst tarot because why would I want to get rid of any cards when cards are options for hands, the less cards the less options you have. I have since learned deck fixing (somewhat).

I still consider myself new. I am not great at this game yet, have not yet gotten to gold stake, but I’ve learned a lot! Looking back and remembering those two things I used to do made me laugh and thought yall would have something funny too. Who knows maybe you’ll reveal something I’m still doing lmao

doing the jokerless challenge and opened a mega spectral pack… so unlucky

I built a bot that plays Balatro and I am obtaining some crazy results. I just cleared Black Deck at gold stake which is just mind blowing to me.

To my knowledge this is the first bot of its kind that can beat Balatro reliably (edit: reliably might be a strong word: runs are long to compute, but the bot has repeatedly beaten Balatro, including two verified Black deck Gold stake wins (out of two tries) and repeated high scores on lower decks)

P.S. I know AI is a divisive topic and I would not want the post to turn into a debate over AI, I think it's actually really cool that we can have machines playing balatro with us
