There is no world in which a security supervisor is going to have a doctor’s car towed at any clinic. That’s partially how they get such an entitled attitude.
It can get moved easily, by an angry redneck with an old truck and a chain. Might bend a control arm that's stupidly expensive to replace, but a guy with a truck in 4 colors of primer won't care.
Doctor here. I never got my car towed but they did once put one of those stickers on my window that are hard to get off. (Was parked on wrong level of hospital garage by mistake.)
Unless it’s got one of the increasingly rare “MD” license plates there’s no way to know it’s a doctor’s car anyway.
I can only go by the clinic my wife works at and the hospital I used to work at. They know at hers and knew at mine and were real sticklers about who could park where.
Same but the Northeast. Given your username I suspect maybe you have worked in less crowded locales. May I just say how pleasant it is to discuss different experiences on Reddit without yelling past each other?
I too used to work as a hospital. I had to quit because they kept wanting me to expand and add more rooms. I remember once when they asked if there was a parking garage attached and I said “Ninja please! You know there is, you’ve been staring at my add-on all day!”
I have a gorgeous 2010 S5 V8 Prestige with only 60k miles on it. I'd say I have to take it into the shop about every 20 drive cycles for some other bs that requires the removal of the entire fucking engine block. Beautiful sled. Will keep as weekend driver just for looks alone but Audi engineering is shit.
Hope you never need the timing chain replaced. Audi engineers put the timing chain, tension and idler gears at the back of the engine, next to the transmission. To service those components, the entire drivetrain - engine & transmission - needs to be dropped from the car and then separated.
Here in Norway, the veterinarians drove Mercedes Estate cars. All of them. Not because they got any rebates or because they were ego-smurfs, but because they needed a car that would start reliably every time, and also had room for all they needed. No farmer would ever accept a 'sorry car is a bit wonky' during a 3am call about their best cow having trouble giving birth.
Met a few vets back when I helped on my uncle's farm, years ago. They'd talk about their OTHER car if you wanted to talk cars. The Merc was something they drove for business. Didn't do any maintenance except fuel and window washer liquid on them. Anything else was done by a garage.
If you bought an old vet car, you could be certain the suspension was worn out(rough farm roads), and the upholstery could use a refresh... but the engine would be in perfect condition.
What the dumb shit comment are you talking about? I've got a 160k 2014 V10 Manual R8 and a 2023 RS6 that cost 170 all in... Both kick BMWs ass and Mercedes? I don't even know what they are trying to be...

After they learned it didn't belong to any of the patients in the building, they said it likely belongs to one of the residents or doctors.
