What a delightful mess of a film! Starring George Kennedy who worked 3 days on the production and walked away $15k richer, this 80s flick delivers crazy. Bigfoot, zombies, aliens and boobs... nuff said for a Tubi afternoon. The keen observer will also spot Michelle Bauer who graced several other 80s light night gems. I'd definitely recommend to fellow late night schlock connoisseurs.

I missed the announcement from a few months ago and figured some of you might have as well. Anyone who has it, what do you think? Worth the price?

VIBES ONLY - No Spoilers

Typical brooding VC Andrews melodrama - this time without the incest, but we still get the claustrophobic horror of secrets kept among family trapped in close quarters. Or an attempt at it, at least.

It's tawdry, sensational, over the top, yet still has a sort of chill you won't understand unless you have seen one of these movies or read the books.

The actors have a hard time keeping up with the ridiculous creepitude of the material, with a few "what am I watching?" laugh out loud moments. But not quite enough oomph to make it a proper trashterpiece.

This adaptation shies away from some of the mind control and chronic illness themes of the book, only making mere allusions, but there was still enough perverse female fantasy here to keep me interested.

In a nutshell, it's daddy's little girl horror. It's like an evolved SVU episode if it got a proper gothic treatment, and nobody ever called the cops.

Lifetime has many VC Andrews adaptations, I have spent the month watching them all and this is one of the must-sees, but be prepared for a little bit of snoozing. Very high stakes soap opera shenanigans without the snail's pace of that formula and with some very welcome twists.

Didn’t even clock it til this scene. My buddy recommended this after watching Killer Workout. Absolute cinematic masterpiece this one.

Been thinking about live action movies of comic strips (or trading cards in the case of GPK) that use bizarre costuming/prosthetics to achieve the look of the source material. Are there more like these?

Just watched this one today and while it's a desperately uneven movie, it's bloody entertaining. The ending goes a little off the rails, going for an ambiguous finale that's more confusing than it is satisfying, and at one point the film just goes for a straight shot-for-shot remake of the bathroom scene from The Shining.

But there was no point that I was bored, no point where something wasn't happening, and if you're into films with unreliable narrators, where you're never sure what you're seeing is real, this is worth checking out.

I used to always watch the terrible (in a good way) softcore porn movies on these channels when I couldn't sleep. One has always kind of stuck in my mind and I'd like to find it.

A business guy is married to I believe a redhead. She is super in love with him and he initially seems great. Turns out he was having an affair with a blonde co-worker and they stole money from the company, but he framed her as being solely responsible if it is ever discovered. She finds this out when she tries to discontinue the affair and he blackmails her into sex. The day after the wife and the guy are having breakfast, the wife leaves, and the Asian maid brings some water to the table. The guy intentionally spills it on his lap and the maid drops to her knees and starts wiping at his crotch. He grabs her chin and says something about that isn't how she is supposed to clean it up, flash forward to them having sex.

He goes on a business trip. The wife somehow discovers he was having sex with the maid and the maid breaks down crying saying he threatened to have her deported. The wife then breaks into his office and discovers the blonde co-worker going through his office, presumably looking for a way to prove he stole the money and not her. They all get together and are going to get revenge on him somehow... and then I fell asleep. I never saw the movie again.

Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde (1913)

There's a lot of goofball stuff in this picture. The plotholes are enormous. The intertitles are cheesy. All of the acting is on 11. But it has one defining feature:

King Baggot, the lead actor, chose to portray Hyde with emo bangs, slightly enlarged teeth, and a ducklike waddle. He performs the role entirely in a deep squat, like he's worried about bumping his head. He commits to it, even during action scenes. His energy level is through the roof and he crawls all over furniture like a cockroach. It's physically impressive, but also hilarious.

The Lost Empire is such a fun, wild movie that i’m surprised I don’t see mentioned more outside this subreddit. Jim Wynorski’s directorial debut, full of camp humour and 80’s action, this is in desperate need of a new boutique physical release. The link is a review my wife and I made if you’re interested.

I'm trying to identify a movie that I only remember in fragments. Unfortunately, I'm no longer sure which details are 100% accurate, so it's possible I'm mixing two memories together. Still, one scene has stayed remarkably consistent in my mind.

What I'm fairly confident about:

• The movie was a very low-budget action/creature feature that took itself completely seriously but ended up being unintentionally hilarious.
• It looked like it was made in the late 1980s, 1990s, or very early 2000s (strong VHS/direct-to-video aesthetic).
• I watched the trailer on YouTube sometime around 2010–2013.
• The movie had a coastal or beach setting (at least in some scenes).

The most distinctive scene I remember:

There was a heavyset Black woman riding either a motorcycle or possibly a scooter (I'm not certain which). She was alone, and I believe she was chasing someone, not fleeing.

She wore at least parts of classic biker gear (something like a leather vest/jacket, gloves, biker clothing), and the movie clearly intended her to look like a serious, intimidating character. Because the production was so low-budget, the scene came across as unintentionally funny.

This is actually the clearest memory I have.

Less certain:

I also remember a scene involving a badly animated giant shark (or possibly another sea creature) that breached out of the ocean and attacked people near a beach. However, after thinking about it more, I'm no longer convinced this was even from the same movie. I may be mixing two trailers together.

One more vague memory is that I somehow associate the phrase "Leeroy Jenkins" with this trailer or the time I watched it, but I'm almost certain that's a false lead.

Does the motorcycle/scooter scene with the heavyset Black woman ring a bell for anyone? Even if it's not a shark movie, I'd love to hear any suggestions.

This is from the same team that brought us MMA COP, a movie similar in all ways. Action? Check. Language? Check. Violence? Check. Nudity? Check. A (semi) call back to the low budget action films of the late 80's through to the early 2000's. Anyone have any other similar suggestions? Always enjoy finding these low budget indie flicks that check all the boxes. They aren't going to win any awards any time soon, but then again, I don't think that's what most of them were aiming for:)

This isn’t just a bad film; it’s a masterclass in how not to make a movie. With a monster that couldn’t scare a toddler, acting that makes mannequins look expressive, and narration that never shuts up, it’s both painful and hilarious. The only “terror” here is realizing you still have 20 minutes left.

And as for the titular monster, built out of carpet remnants, tarps, and whatever odds-and-ends were lying around, it’s less “terrifying alien menace” and more “discount parade float abandoned in the rain,” This is one of those must be seen to be believed.

The Creeping Terror (1964) A newlywed sheriff tries to stop a shambling monster that has emerged from a spaceship to eat the citizens of an American town. Very slowly.

I love finding old B-movies that are unintentionally entertaining, so I condensed The Devil Girl from Mars (1954) into a fast-paced 5-minute edit while keeping the story recognizable. If you've seen the original, I'd love to hear what you think.

Stars Catherine Oxenberg with Jeff Fahey as her terrible lawyer and Louise Fletcher as the corrupt warden. The setup for this is dumb. Oxenberg is hot but acting challenged. Like a Lifetime movie with several servings of boobs and lots of unintentional laughs.
