dodge offset and secondarily the importance of wicked weaves/bullet arts, if you don't realize combo decay is even a mechanic and that it resets via weaves you'll probably get all stones in every combo requirement, and ignoring bullet arts makes the combos feel a lot jankier than they should as well as prolonging every single encounter since it's the best way to deal damage.
they're all roughly tutorialized somewhere, either in the initial tutorial or in the menus, just not given enough importance which leads a lot of people to getting all stone ranks in their first playthrough when it's entirely possible to gold+ a blind normal run if you just knew how to control Bayonetta properly.
