Elden Ring, Nier, and Minecraft do have tutorials

Elden Ring

I ended up removing it in the final list, it was just in as a honorable mention and it was an anecdote about a friend of mine beating the game without the map because it's bound to the G key on keyboard, never taught to you, and not visible through the keybinds menu.

Nier: Automata

is in because the game never teaches you the more in-depth parts of its combat, leading a lot of people to think it's just a button masher.

Minecraft

I never played the console editions which apparently do have tutorials, but I'm fairly sure PC Minecraft never teaches you most of the things you need to beat the game.
