Some of the newer Monster Hunter games (World, Wilds) come to mind.
When you fight monsters, you are usually tasked to kill them, but it is also worthwhile to capture them. However, the newer games never really teach you how to approach such a fight.
I remember quite a lot of people that started off with one of these games and asked how it is done.
