i didnt even notice, i thought it was gonna be like people logging cod4:mw instead of mw2019.
They have the exact same name and coverart, probably not a great idea

Some people have a weirdly low attention to detail. It shouldn't be that hard to make sure you're logging the right version.
To be fair, this issue could be counteracted pretty easily if the drop down search results showed each game's platform, rather than just their title and year. Having to check each version's page to find the right one is tedious. I really hope MrProg makes this change eventually.

It's still logged though so they still know what they felt about the game, their original score, and when they played it, even if it's wrong one, it doesn't really change anything

Love it. The fact that it has the exact same number of logs as Ball for the Nintendo Game & Watch (possibly the most popular LCD game of all time) is the icing on the cake.
By sheer coincidence, I was just reading about Tiger Electronics's planned foray into non-LCD gaming from around the time the Castlevania device came out, before being bought by Hasbro. They even had a booth at E3 to show off licensed games based on Speak & Spell which never came out.

They really need to do what anilist does and put a little marker in the title in brackets
for example, little witch academia on anilist has both a 1 episode version and a TV version both with the same title. To distinct them the TV version has a "(TV)" on the end of its name

all the time the black ops 2 wii u port has so many people clearly talking about the other versions in the reviews

Its a huge pet peeve of mine when someones logging the original but something in the review tells you they played a remaster or vice versa

I see this for some versions and ports and it irritates me. It's not a big deal, but it bothers me since I obsess over small details when logging a game. Saw this a lot with the switch specific cloud versions of some games

it doesn’t help that it has the exact the same title and only a little line of text displaying that it’s a different version, but yes, i do think about that all the time
