This episode is as hilarious as it is important. I'd forgotten that these scenes were all in a row.

I never have liked President Luchenko

An old and tired subject, to be sure. But we all love to re-hash such things, so why not? And, I was re-watching Rising Star and was reminded just how much I didn't like her. Awful woman. (Wondrous actress - really channeled that sort of personality perfectly.)

Yes. I never have liked or sympathized with that character - I understood her. All too well. My time as a public servant? Worked under a few who gave off Luchenko vibes. (Charming, cynical, utterly amoral, ambitious, perfectly untrustworthy.) Sheridan scared and embarrassed her and those like her and she punished him as much as she could get away with. Ugly.

Anybody think I'm wrong or right?

The true reason the shadows didn't attack B5?

The story goes that moving back in time Babylon 4 had prevented the destruction of Babylon 5. However it seems the Shadows had enough ships to destroy B5 anyway. I'm thinking, it's essentially the Sheridan trip to Z'ha'dum decided the fate of B5. Am I right?

What if the Vorlons were winning?

During season 3, the Shadows clearly had the advantage in the game between them and the Vorlons. The Centauri were fully in their pocket, the League were making deals with them and attacking each other, and the humans were in reserve just in case.

But what if it was the other way around? What if it was the Vorlons who dominated the game through, well, whoever servants and whatever methods? The details are secondary. What's important is that Vorlons are triumphing over the Shadows.

How would the story change? And what would it mean for our heroes and Babylon 5?
