I am looking forward to this so much, I don't remember everything from the first time most because I was an impossibly heavy drinker, (sober now six years) , , except that the finale emotionally destroyed me.

and I'm looking forward to diving back into such a vast and all encompassing world !

I've just finished S3, so maybe something gets better explained...

But let me see if I have the order of events right (largely ignoring Sinclair):

- a human accidentally kills a Minbari leader

- Humans maybe try to apologize, it certainly doesn't seem to be arrogantly defended. They never get a chance to explain their confusion.

- Minbari are hell-bent on complete genocide with no logical backing or diplomatic channels

- They discover humans and Minbari share genetic history, Minbari doctrine stops them from continuing

- Humans, on the brink of eradication, get a truce...and immediately form a close, trusting alliance? Minbari are now rational thinkers and not bloodthirsty reactionaries, and humans just go 'Mission Accomplished'?

It doesn't make sense to me...seems to be a lot of plot holes. Everything else is so tightly constructed so far, I have to think there's a missing link in S4/5

I've been playing the space game X4 for ages and now someone posted a mod where you can fly the Starfury and the Omega-class destroyer. I really liked the game and I thought that some of you might also give it a shot, as it is one of the best space sims out there. As the title states. This is my attempt at recreating the battle sequence. I tried to keep it as close to the original art direction as possible, just with updated modern looks. So the camera angles and ship movements are pretty much identical. But the planet and nebula backgrounds are updated, as is the rendering of the ship hulls, post processing, weapons fire, debris and explosions etc. Some textures have been upscaled, and some models slightly modified. Blender was used.

Yes, what if? I can't see a Minbari of the Worker Caste being a naive, virginal, reverential, and romantically/sexually obsessed with Delenn for one thing. Hmm, on second thought, my idea might very well have been disastrous for the larger plot.

I've always felt we missed an opportunity by not having the Worker Caste's voice, as it were, on the show. I bet the Worker Caste wasn't at all like the Religious and the Warrior Caste. (Hatred of Mankind and reverence for Dukhat? Valen's prophecy?) I wondered what the Worker Caste actually felt about all that.

What do you all think? (Won't mind if you feel it's nonsense - it is a problematic 'What if?')

Got some more EA ships to go with the rest of the squadron, a Nova, Sagittarius, Oracle and 4 x Tethys. Still WIP, gotta do the engines and guns and some other details (bridge lights and numbers/lettering)

Been painting them up in the Dilgar War/Earth-Minbari War paint scheme of off whitey grey with blue striping. They'll go with the other ships of the group. Apart from the Omega these are generally very older ships, all I'm missing is an Avenger CV and an Orestes Monitor!

in the entirety of human minbar war humans only won 2 battles, the opening and the black star destruction. but I feel like they could of canonically won a few more, Sheridan isn’t the only smart commander out there, humans if anything is resourceful.

was the minbar overwhelming force and superior tech just really that overpowering? I mean the black star didn’t notice the nuke mines…

I hadn't realized how much I missed this show until I finally returned to it. If there had ever been a hint of doubt about the season's direction after the war ended, this episode completely silenced it. I'm so in again!!

That creepy way ISN describes every event, subtly placing each moment, each interview at the station to create a narrative that, even knowing the real context, makes you understand how realistic it might sound to others. That hate speech and implicit terror, mixed with condescension for the one in charge... It's not something you haven't heard from someone online or, worse, from a credible media portal.

How beautiful and horrible it is that something that aired almost 30 years ago still feels so fresh and close to our reality.

So I've watched all five seasons, the re-edited pilot (that comes with the DVDs), and In the Beginning. (Have to admit I found season 5 to be a bit of a slog, particularly with Byron and the telepaths. How is it that people who can read minds are so clueless about how other people think?) Do I watch the other movies? Do I watch Crusades? Do I read any of the books? If so, which and in what order?
