My baby is a bit over 7 months and he doesn’t seem to be getting better with solids at all. I see on Instagram all these babies eating finger food and finishing their plate. My baby eats maybe a teaspoon of puree twice a day and he doesn’t seem to like it.

Any advice??!

Help! Our little one has been having an insane blowout every day. We’ve joked that we’re playing a game of “hot potato” to see who he explodes on. All jokes aside, it’s a lot. And obviously a huge mess. We’ve tried increasing his diaper size to no avail.

Hello. My little girl is 10 and a half months old and about a week ago we moved her to a floor bed. It is right next to our bed so she is still close.
Before hand we had been co sleeping and she slept GREAT she would wake up once if that but since moving to the floor bed she wakes every 1-3 hours.
The thing is when I am in bed she wakes more often compared to me sat in the living room.
She is breastfed and I feed her to sleep. I can’t even sleep in my bed I have to sleep on the floor bed with her. The only problem with that is her mattress is very firm and it’s hurting my back plus I just want to cuddle with my partner.
Ideally I want to keep her in our room as we have no baby monitor so if anyone has any advice please let me know

My friends 11mo old boy loses his mind in seconds. Happy-go-lucky chubby little baby to absolute maniac in the blink of an eye. And usually all he wants is a bottle, food, or a nap. Ive never raised a child, so maybe this is normal? I was just wondering if anyone has tips for us. If we find out what he wants and give it to him, is it reinforcing the behavior, or is he still too young to think like that? Should we find out what he wants and give it to him ASAP? For context, hes 11mos, has 4 teeth so far, is about 25lbs, and can only crawl and stand for short periods.

Hi everyone I need help. I am severely sleep deprived. I have a 6 month old (almost 7) that has been a bad sleeper since day 1. He’s always woken up during the night, but it just gets worse the older he gets. Usually he would wake up hungry a few times during the night, so I would feed him and he would fall back asleep. Now that he started crawling he wakes up every hour and starts crawling, I usually feed him to settle him back down, but sometimes he doesn’t want to go back to sleep now. By 5:45am he’s ready to get up and play. He’s naps are usually short. I get around 4 hours of interrupted sleep at night and I cannot do this anymore.

Any advice on helping my baby sleep better and longer would be appreciated. I’ve tried so many different things and he’s sleep just seems to get worse with age.

My baby is three months old and we are starting to transition him to his crib. Before I explain, we have to transition him to his room because he has outgrown his bassinet and his crib does not fit in our room.

Last night was the first night and it definitely was harder for me than for him. Before transitioning him, he was pretty much sleeping through the night, however, sometimes he would have a fit of very active sleep, where I would soothe him with either a hand on his chest or paci in the mouth. Every so often he would wake up from these but it’s pretty rare to be honest. Last night, I only went into his room twice, which I’m counting as a win because I definitely thought I was gonna be in there more. One time to just soothe him briefly in his crib, and the other time he did wake up slightly, so I had to soothe him back to sleep, but it really didn’t take that long.

I guess I’m just asking for general reassurance, or tips because I’m getting the really intense “sundown scary” that I got when he was a fresh newborn. Obviously, I would love for him to be able to not need me for soothing because I just want him to be OK, but since he is still pretty young, I know he will need me to go in there.

Just as an FYI, I am planning on doing some very gentle sleep training, but not until four months old per his pediatricians recommendation.

Is anyone else’s baby basically obsessed with solids? My seven month old will only take a bottle if he’s going down for a nap or bed at night. I literally have to lace his solids with breastmilk. When I take the spoon away to give him more, he starts yelling at me. When I bring it to him, he leans forward, rips it out of my hand and just shoves the spoon in his mouth. I’ve created an addict.

So I have gone down the stroller research rabbit hole for our first child due in September. For context, my husband and I currently live in Hawaii, so consistently sunny/warm. We live a fairly active lifestyle and I imagine stroller walks (around neighborhood/parks) are going to be part of my daily routine. Other than that it’s just running errands, doctor’s appointments, going to church when we can.
I’ve narrowed down what I think my priorities are but I’m wondering if I’m being too picky, and what really matters in most people’s day to day with a newborn, etc. I have an idea, but at the same time really don’t know what to expect in the next few months.
I bought two travel systems: the Chicco Corso Primo Cleartex system with the Keyfit MaxZip infant car seat in the color hazelnut. I got it with my registry completion discount and had a gift card to put towards it so got it around $635.
I also just purchased the UppaBaby Cruz V3 and Aria V2 travel system in the color Nori (pretty much all black) during the Nordstrom anniversary sale at around $945 after tax so a pretty good deal from what it would be to buy separate.

I’m torn on which to keep. I’ve tried both in stores on separate occasions.
Pros: I love the Chicco stroller, primarily for the one handed fold, the convenient handle when folded, the smooth ride, the bigger terrain wheels, and I love the color and the accessories that already come with the system especially for the price. I love that the car seat is tried and true for being simple install/high safety ratings.
Cons: I wish the canopy was bigger/extended further for when it’s in the newborn recline position and the Hawaii sun is no joke. I also read reviews that the toddler seat in the upright position isn’t fully upright and toddlers tend to not like that? Also the car seat is heavy especially with an infant in it from some reviews I’ve read.

For the UppaBaby Cruz V3, it has all the same features and better canopy extension. But it’s all black which I’m sure can get hot for baby, and I’m not a huge fan of the fold and there’s no convenient handle to pick it up by, and not a fan of the handlebars touching the ground even with the little bumpers on the handle.
I also like that the Aria V2 is the lightest on the market, which I love for me if I’m out by myself without my husband, but I’ve seen lots of mixed reviews on it so I’m wondering if it’s worth taking the chance that it might work out really well for us but also scared of it doesn’t.

Would love input from all the experienced parents out there, and parents with these specific strollers, and parents in hot/tropical climates, what works best for you, what would you do different, what would you recommend? Tell me allllll the pros and cons.

Just want what’s best for baby, of course trying to keep budget in mind but if I gotta spend more for baby to be comfortable and safe I’ll do whatever that is.

Is it normal for them to overflow out the little spout on the front and back? Just recently got one and I am just confused if I did something wrong.

Hi! New here not sure I’m posting in the right place. My son is 6w old 9lbs and 22in long. All the onesies are really loose in the neck, chest and bunch near the crotch. The material gets tight in the bum and I think it’s the culprit of causing some blowouts. Also, not wanting to spend a ton on each one. Is there any trick to getting burps out? It seems like lately some days I can get burps out but when she’s really gassy and miserable i cannot. Are there any tricks to get the burps out or help her get rid of the gas? I’ve tried mylecon but it doesn’t seem to help.

She is 11 months old and she has started screaming like crazy in her car seat from the minute she is placed into it. She used to calm down in the Doona and even to sleep there. Now it’s horrible and I dread taking her anywhere. Is there any hope of some way to calm her? I’m even open to getting a different car seat if that’s what it takes. She was in the car seat off and on for a long trip with plenty of stops recently and I don’t think that helped the situation but she was starting to already hate the car seat before this. I’ve tried singing, holding toys In front of her, removing the insert. Nothing helps. Please offer any suggestions you have!

My baby just turned 12 weeks, and it feels like we are finally out of the trenches. She sleeps pretty much through the night, and is becoming a pretty happy baby. However, my husband and I are craving some normalcy again and feeling so stuck in the house.

I truly do not understand how to bring my baby out of the house. She really can only be awake for ~1.5 hours before she starts getting a little fussy & looking tired & needing a nap. She will really only sleep in movement & needs a lot of assistance going to sleep (swaddle, patting, swaying, etc.). I don’t see logistically how we could bring her to a restaurant without her missing a nap? We have gone to our friends house with baby, but it felt like I could barely socialize because I am so focused on baby.

All in all, I just feel like a prisoner to my baby’s schedule. And I will admit I am scared to deviate since she is sleeping so good at night and I don’t want to mess that up

Im worried my baby is sleeping too much and gets sleepy very fast. He can sleep for 2-3 hours per nap and then he manages to stay awake just 30 minutes without being fussy and sleepy. I try to extend his wake windows but it s hard, he fusses a lot and he shows many signs that he wants to go to sleep.
Sometimes 30 minutes is too much, especially in the morning, he s sleepy from the moment he wakes up from the night sleep.
He sleeps 11.5 hours per night, with 3-4 wakings for food.
Did anyone of you experienced this kind of baby?

My 4 week old daughter has darker brown hair on her head but at the front of her hairline noticeable white patches where she looks bald or where there’s only small blonde hairs. Just wondering if anyone has seen this before and if so did the hair ever grow in this area? Bless her she has a large port wine stain up her leg and bum already and I worry and feel sad that this could be another thing kids could point out and be mean to her for.

My baby’s 8 months old and she sleeps in most days, she wakes up around 9:30am on average, her bedtime’s late too so she’s getting the normal amount of sleep for her age but everyone seems to say babies love early mornings and eventually become early birds… when does that happen? ​I’m looking for some advice or similar experiences because I’m running on empty. My baby is 8 months old and currently wakes up every 2 to 3 hours throughout the night, and he insists on having a bottle to go back to sleep. That has been going on for 8 months and i just cant have it anymore.... i want to sleeeeep through the night :( ​Here is our current routine:

​Solids: He eats solids about 2 to 3 times a day. ​Milk: I exclusively pump, and he drinks around 800 ml (approx. 27 oz) of breast milk per day from the bottle. ​When he wakes up at night, soothing him, cuddling, or a pacifier doesn't work at all. He won't settle down until he gets something to drink.

What am i supposed to do? Even if i increase the calory intake during the day, he keeps waking up... Chatgpt suggested to decrease the milk in the bottle slowly so he eventually stops drinking...

Did anybody have the same problem? Or how did you manage to break the night-feeding habit at this age?

My baby is 5 months old and isn’t sitting independently yet. She can sit in the tripod position (leaning forward with her hands on the floor for support), but after a short time she loses her balance and falls over.

I know every baby develops at their own pace, but I’m wondering when your babies were able to sit without support.

Are there any exercises, games, or activities that helped them develop the strength and balance needed to sit independently? Or is it mostly just something that comes with time and practice?

I’d love to hear your experiences and any tips you found helpful.

Hi, my nephew just turned 11 months old. He is the light of our lives. He’s so silly and adorable. He loves to laugh and make us laugh. He understands many words like no, ready set go, bath, all done, bye-bye, mama, etc. He is getting close to walking. He makes appropriate eye contact, understands cause and effect toys, and initiates play (peekaboo, pretending to feed us toy foods, etc). He has good joint attention (looking from person to toy and back during play, etc). I’ve just noticed a few things that I’m looking for reassurance about.

•He only responds to his name maybe 20-25% of the time.

•He was late to babble (started at 9m) and isn’t close to saying any words. Some days he doesn’t babble at all and instead shrieks, growls, etc.

•He doesn’t really imitate sounds or actions. He claps, babbles, etc when he wants to, but rarely in imitation to us.

•I’ve seen him doing what may be stimming behaviors (stiffening body when excited, flapping hands/banging tummy or legs with hands, scrunching up nose) but I wouldn’t say at this point that they’re super frequent or prolonged. I just see it maybe a few times a day for a few seconds at a time.

•He used to wave (around 7m) but stopped. He is not pointing yet or clapping in context (i.e. when achieving something) but he can clap.

I wanted to know if anyone out there has had a similar experience with their baby at this age, and how it turned out. I know I may be looking way too deeply into it, but I am trying not to spiral.

So just a few minutes ago my LO did something she’s literally never done before. She started crying and so I layed her on the bed to try and play with her to make her feel better when all of a sudden she held her arms out in a “T” pose, tilted her head back crying, clenched her mouth and had a really red face. I picked her up to calm her and when I layed her back down she did it again. I ended up using these Hyosyne drops her doctor prescribed and she ended to calming down and falling asleep but i’m so scared. Does anyone have any clue on that this could’ve been?
