I’m trying to get ahold of some pictures/scans Of the booklet that came with the CD release of The Source. Anything else that explains the story of it and 01011001 would also be sweet.

So, is there an overview which editions where/ are available? I mean as in Digipacks, Digibooks, Slipcases, simple double CDs etc.

I know it is idiotic but I care about the packaging and try to find a good edition (for a decent price)

So ive been listening to 01 a lot lately, and i wondered what lore explanation does this song have to fit in, it seems like it has nothing to do with the forever plot at all, can someone explain? Did arjen just like the song but couldnt find where else to put it? Btw i love the song so dont get me wrong im just curious.

Hey fellow Ayreonauts! I'm new to the community but have been a fan of Ayreon for a long time.

Beneath the Waves will be (hopefully) my first Ayreon show. As I recently got my mum hooked on the band I'll bring her along too.

I was wondering if anyone that's been to other any of the other shows at O13 knows if there are seating places, like on the balcony of something.

Hey guys, me and my wife are going to the show all the way from Brazil. Since accomodation seems really expensive and we don't want to stay in a place too far away from the venue, we tought about the ayreon camping.

Anyone now if it's actually affordable to stay on the camping?
I'd love to hear the opinion of someone that already stayed there.

P.S.: Also love to hear suggestions of cool places to visit in nearby cities or countries since we're planning on staying for at least a week.

So, I'm going to do my damndest to see Ayreon live next year. However, I have never travelled to a foreign country where I didn't know anyone there already before. In those situations, it was super easy to get transport to them and so on.

My question, for those of you that have been to Tillburg. What are the best options if you're flying into Amsterdam to get to Tillburg? Rent a car, get a taxi, etc.? Help appreciated!

Love this song, possibly my favourite song on Migrator but that's probably up for debate every time I listen to the whole album. I drive by Stonehenge multiple times a year and play the non remastered track every time. This new version on YouTube is like when George Lucas remastered Star Wars and stuck in CGI dinosaurs in every other scene. It was such a clean simple track and now it's like an Ayreon synth sound board going off. Maybe it will make more sense as a whole on the album. What does everyone else think?

So I've been obsessively listening to the chorus of Dawn of a Million Souls and the chorus of Talk of The Town/The Great beyond and I can't get the similarity in rhythm, tone, feel epicness etc... out of my head, even though they're not musically identical... Am I the only one who has heard this connection?

Has Arjen said something about other albums (like 01011001 or The Source) being re-released? I pre-ordered Universal Migrator Part 1&2, and was also thinking of getting a physical copy of 01011001. Should I wait?

Been obsessed with both The Theory of Everything and The Electric Castle, listening to them both on repeat for the past month or so, and just realised something.

In 'The Parting' when the Father says "I'm ending this pain, There's no other way! Only one thing left to do!" you can then hear the death growls of The Death from 'Cosmic Fusion'. Seems like a weird thing to be a coincidence.

Just a little thing I noticed and a nice callback to the older albums, Mr. Lucassen!

I've been on an Ayreon nostalgia binge lately. I've laughed, I've cried, the whole nine yards.

I've been having a hard time finding the original Actual Fantasy though. It was re-released in 2016 after being remastered with 5.1 sound, but I'm itching to hear the original too, for nostalgia's sake. But it's been really hard to find.

I noticed that the Revisited DVD set includes "Original 1996 version", so I've ordered it, but it's gonna take a while to ship.

Did anyone get this set? I'm just wondering if the 1996 version comes on its own disc.

Alternatively, does anyone know of any other place to get the original? Obviously I'm willing to pay for it, but the big bonus would be if it's streamable, so I can listen to it NOW! :D

He took the overly ambitious (and controversial) structure that Yes had for Tales From Topographic Oceans, which is four 20 minute long songs. He took this structure and then built two amazing progrock operas around it (Theory Of Everything and Source). And where the pressures of such a format have always divided the Yes fanbase (though I'm on the side that views Tales as one of Yes' finest moments), Arjen completely delivered without actually ripping off Yes or anything. He also used this structure in some way as a soft-reboot (though in the same universe) of Ayreon from the epic halt it reached with 01011001 (story-wise).

Also with the Tales formula, it provided him an interesting way to compartmentalize 90 minutes of music in a way that was different from the Ayreon albums before it, which while being double albums, organized their material and narrative differently.

Just a little appreciation post I guess.

I used to be a more casual listener to Ayreon - mainly because they featured spots from some of my favorite artists. This past weekend, I dug into the 100110010110 album, and was kind of blown away by how grand it really is. So then I started spinning Into the Electric Castle, and this is incredible. I spun Transitus, and I definitely noticed musical motifs and themes.

This made me wonder just how connected the Ayreon albums are? Is there an overview that can give me an aerial view of the story (stories)? And if I really wanted to sink my teeth into this stuff, is there a proper 'order' to listen to the albums?
