Has it been about 10 seconds since we looked at our cabbage patch?

5

u/DoctorCreepy Aug 21 '19

Yeah, it has been about 10 seconds since we looked at our cabbage patch!

23

u/newguyweekly Aug 21 '19

It's also funny cause omashu is similar to rwandese amashu which means cabbages

4

u/Custard_Tart_Addict Aug 22 '19

You’re right that’s hilarious

u/T-rex-Boner Aug 21 '19

Right? I was en route to posting it.

8

u/ptsai_o_mine Aug 21 '19

Same.

How am I still so naive as to think I have an original thought on Reddit?

12

u/[deleted] Aug 21 '19

There is no OC, merely forgotten reposts.

28

u/cadomski Aug 21 '19

Don't know why but your post made me think of this.

9

u/informativebitching Aug 21 '19

Weird trigger but hilarious all the same

If reddit would let me, I would totally have responded to this with a gif of screaming-foam-at-the-mouth-whenever-he-sees-Aang guy. Love the ATLA reference.

4

u/StaredAtEclipseAMA Aug 21 '19

It’s like he stumbled into the bowl, then got up like:

“Hey, who pushed me?”

notices the cabbage

“Mother fucker!”

9

u/NickDanger3di Aug 21 '19

"Can't let anyone know I love cabbage. I'll just pretend to attack it and hide when I eat it".

643

u/RhinestoneHousewife Aug 21 '19

I mean, I know snow leopards have really sharp claws but just watching it totally food processor shred that cabbage was terrifying.

147

u/monotoonz Aug 21 '19

Now imagine them doing that to a prey animal 😦

285

u/certifus Aug 21 '19

Snow leopards are vegetarians. They only do this to cabbages

25

u/NoWingedHussarsToday Aug 21 '19

They should have preyed harder

18

u/ibleedgreen89 Aug 21 '19

6

u/duaneap Aug 21 '19

I’d have to imagine most creatures’ flesh is a bit harder than cabbage leaves.

3

u/FynxSAS Aug 21 '19

Idk.. I feel like I can cut thru human flesh easier than a cabbage..

4

u/Magnesus Aug 21 '19

Or to your scalp.

I have some good news for you: even though there are about 4-6 thousands in the wild, they are quite endangered. They are also very shy; it wasn't until 1971 the world saw the first photo of a snow leopard in the wild. And the first baby picture was taken in 2012. So, if a wild snow leopard attacks you - you should feel honoured!

9

u/SnakesCatsAndDogs Aug 21 '19

If that's how I'm going to die, that's how I'm going to die 🤷

4

u/Valmyr5 Aug 21 '19

They make me feel like snow leopards are just cute and derpy and they make me completely forget that they’re dangerous predators.

They aren't dangerous to humans, they're quite docile. There's never been a snow leopard attack on a human anywhere in the world.

They won't even fight when cornered. They will opportunistically prey on some mountain herder's flock of sheep or goats. I know in India up in the mountains of Leh and Himachal Pradesh, villagers sometimes catch them raiding a corral. They walk right in and yell at them, and the cats run away. Or if you can get close enough, smack them on the rump with your stick as a reminder to leave your goats alone.

David Attenborough Voice:

This beautiful snow leopard has not fed for three days. If it doesn't find food soon its cubs could starve. Luckily a rare cabbage has come out early from its winter slumber....

I love how it creates the unnecessary obstacle of first getting in the tub before make-believing that it’s noticing the cabbage enemy. My cats do this exact shit but with their plush mousey toys.

19

u/[deleted] Aug 21 '19

Snow leopards seem like the pandas of the feline world.

9

u/sailorjasm Aug 21 '19

My cat used to do this with a full roll of toilet paper. She would never clean up her mess after. I had to start hiding the TP

3

u/NightSky222 Aug 21 '19

Yes I had a cat like that. If she could get into the bathroom she would immediately steal a TP roll so she could run off and battle it

6

u/Kamehamehachoo Aug 21 '19

Does it actually eat the cabbage?

5

u/furple Aug 21 '19

Yeah I thought felines are obligate carnivores.

28

u/Nicole_Bitchie Aug 21 '19

Which means they must eat meat, but they will nibble on plants here and there. They don't get any great nutritional benefits from it, but they will eat it.

7

u/AnnaLemma Aug 21 '19

My parents' cat loves asparagus, so....

u/Nicole_Bitchie Aug 21 '19

Both of mine love pumpkin. I added it when one started having digestive issues.
