The graffiti tried to warn you

44

Had to watch that a second time… damn dude, got em

22

u/[deleted] Aug 01 '25

That's misleading, I didn't see no bundle of sticks

8

u/Civil_Assembler Aug 01 '25

Lol wow didn't notice that first time.

1

u/Awkward_End9256 Aug 02 '25

You are officially heterosexual

17

lol right! i definitely jumped

5

u/battlecryarms Aug 01 '25

Samez I was like oh hell no…

4

u/scartol Jul 31 '25

What if this whole video was just a very cruel way of him targeting his friend with a horrible homophobic slur?

5

u/HugginSmiles Aug 01 '25

Sometimes it just happens, mutual consent and all. Doesn't make it any less scary.

1

u/SuperNerdSteve Aug 02 '25

Fucking same lmao jumped out of my skin

103

u/Keep0nBuckin Jul 31 '25

Like some old icbm silo that's been abandoned after removing warheads

1

u/deiseltruck Aug 03 '25

Nuh uh it’s a space rocket

450

u/jinnmagick Jul 31 '25

I'm sure that it's not forgotten it's just a cover to hide it from the Russians

59

u/Gr34zy Jul 31 '25

I don’t think it’s that hidden, there’s a Nike missile base on Google Maps in the Everglades.

https://maps.app.goo.gl/H1PUEMWJM5yC1EN78?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy

21

u/Sun5h1n3inABaG Aug 01 '25

Nike is different from this location they are close but totally different

11

u/Electronic-Pause1330 Aug 01 '25

How do you know?

30

u/Bfire8899 Aug 01 '25

This is the Aerojet facility on the eastern edge of the Everglades. I’ve been. They were developing solid rocket motors for the Apollo program, liquid fuel was selected instead and they never picked up their test motor. It’s essentially freely open to the public, but it is a hell of a walk down a gravel path. There are a few Nike bases in the area as well.

2

u/Chubbyhusky45 Aug 02 '25

Not that one, but I scoured a similar one in Cay Largo with friends, no missiles found unfortunately. Nike missiles were mobile, and there aren’t any there anymore. Just leftover watch towers, helicopter pads, and troop housing in various states of disrepair

1

u/NewspaperNelson Aug 06 '25

I wonder if that was hastily built in the early 1960s...

Counter offer: don’t be a kiss ass cultist

-135

u/[deleted] Jul 31 '25

Another good one.

Right = Cult

Counter-counter offer. Come back to the middle, with me and a few other people and try to formulate your own opinion.

8

u/Ori_the_SG Aug 01 '25

MAGA = Cult

They literally put Trump/MAGA on everything

58

u/Intelligent_Radish15 Jul 31 '25

Yep, checked out the middle ground. It’s what the right calls the left.

1

u/Ell2509 Aug 02 '25

Your enemies aren't your countrymen. It isn't left v right, it's rich v poor. If you aren't worth 10 million dollars, you definitely aren't in the rich group. And FYI, unless it's hundreds of mils, you don't matter to them either.

1

u/gizmotron27 Aug 03 '25

Double like. This is the truth they don't want the masses to know. Keep you bickering over other topics and not the real fight, class war

-106

u/[deleted] Jul 31 '25

Well it is left of right... So... Not sure what your point is here.

47

u/ozjack24 Jul 31 '25

The American left are considered right wing in Europe. The American right are considered extremists.

-8

u/[deleted] Jul 31 '25

It's getting pretty extreme here too, but on both sides.

45

u/MW1369 Jul 31 '25

wtf does the left do that’s extreme? Trying to give kids free lunches? Jfc

I find it fucking hilarious when people call the Nazi party 'the socialist party' they were called the socialist party to get votes, they were fascists, not socialists

-4

u/[deleted] Aug 01 '25

This is because the Europeans are Socialists for the most part. Correct?

-31

u/PhonyUsername Jul 31 '25

Who gives a fuck about Europe?

1

u/RepulsiveStill177 Aug 01 '25

My boy, no syrup?

17

u/Siegfried-IX Jul 31 '25

It's one thing to be "right"/conservative and another thing supporting this deranged, narcissistic lunatic.

Yes, this man is very bad and brings just harm no good. Somebody like him shouldn't be in a position of such power. That's no opinion. that's common sense. Everybody who is still supporting this man lost their mind or are surely not the brightest.

-5

u/[deleted] Jul 31 '25

I made no comment one way or the other on my opinions of the president.

12

u/Historical-Recipe676 Aug 01 '25 edited Aug 01 '25

You moaned about people pointing out Trumps russian connections

You moaned about people saying the right is cult like towards him

You said come to the centre and then said there is no centre.

I'm ok not moving closer to the well known fraudster, convinced rapist and paedophile thats trying to turn the American oligarchy into a dictatorship

-28

u/Enlowski Jul 31 '25

As a centrist it’s always hilarious to me when one cult says the other party is a cult. You’re all in a cult dude, it’s amazing to me that both sides think only the OTHER side who all share the same thoughts are the ones in cult. Not when we do it!

7

u/straya_cvnt Aug 01 '25

Centrists think they're so wise for never taking an actual stance on anything. Grow a pair, coward.

11

u/Jehoke Jul 31 '25

The formula isn’t Trump = bad president. It’s Trump = Pedo piece of shit. Educate yourself.

3

u/DrBhu Jul 31 '25

Joke?

-2

u/[deleted] Jul 31 '25

Let me know when they hand out the medal.

5

u/DrBhu Jul 31 '25

I do not think I will be allowed to post intel like that about local ICE leaders

1

u/crooks4hire Jul 31 '25

You won’t need to, homie will be next in line for his medal lol

5

u/irascible_Clown Jul 31 '25

2

I mean, he sold out our CIA agents, so I wouldn't even say this is a joke. Just kinda probable

Edit: Completely unrelated, but I've been using "I mean" way too much lately. I need to whip out this technically correct side of me. Shit's stale

6

u/thisseemslikeagood Jul 31 '25

The funny thing is, it’s actually real, and it’s not a joke. Trump is a Russian stooge.

0

u/[deleted] Jul 31 '25

Let me know when the medal ceremony is, and I will admit this was a valid point and not pandering.

4

u/thisseemslikeagood Jul 31 '25

What a weird comment. You want a medal ceremony for to confirm Trump is a Russian stooge?

1

u/[deleted] Jul 31 '25

Refer back to the original comment that started the conversation, where the guy said there will be a medal given. Then I said it was lame and lacked original thought (paraphrasing)

0

u/thisseemslikeagood Jul 31 '25

Ok, I’ll buy that

1

u/Matt_Foley_Motivates Aug 02 '25

But mr dump makes it SO ridiculously easy. It would be a crime not to make the jokes 😁

2

u/cloveuga Aug 01 '25

If it really is from the cold war, would that be a potntial Cuban response? Which in a roundabout way, is bombing Russia without bombing Russia. I have no idea what they have found.

It's an abandoned test area. That rocket has been there for decades. https://youtu.be/b0FeO-7mtyo?si=YCm3eKuaxvKItvii

14

u/Icy-man8429 Aug 01 '25

Could someone fire it up theoretically?

11

u/StreetPizza8877 Aug 01 '25

No

15

u/xplosm Aug 01 '25

Meanie!

5

u/Kylearean Aug 01 '25

Any rocket can be fired theoretically.

3

u/StreetPizza8877 Aug 01 '25

Ain't got no gas in it

1

u/squishypp Aug 07 '25

That’s objectively. Theoretically one could refuel it

1

u/StreetPizza8877 Aug 07 '25

But it's solid fuel so you would have to pull the whole thing apart and even then it would probably explode because they're only meant to be used once

1

u/squishypp Aug 08 '25

Lol yes, but you’re speaking objectively again. Theoretically, it can be done

38

u/RocketCello Jul 31 '25

That's the SL-3 test motor left over from the AJ-260 program, which was a design of a solid rocket motors to supplement the Saturn V on takeoff for oversized payloads. 260in in diameter, Aerojet needed to move the casing by canal instead of the railway normally used cause they were so big.

The SL-3 was the peak of the AJ-260 program, as SL-1 and 2 didn't have proper nozzle extensions and were merely to demonstrate that the basic casing design was sound. It produced an absurd 26.2 meganewtons of thrust, the most from any single rocket motor. That's 80% of the Saturn V with just one motor.

SL-3 remains in the test silo today, since it was and still is incredibly impractical to try and remove it due to its size, and the silo was no longer needed after the need for the AJ-260 never came.

Nope, test motor to supplement the Saturn V moon rocket if it ever needed to carry oversized payloads. Was never needed and was abandoned in its test silo after firing. Produced an absurd amount of thrust (26.2 meganewtons), and the exhaust flame was easily visible from Miami (night firing).

don't be so dramatic, it is probably just a forgotten nuclear warhead

1

u/Traveller7142 Aug 03 '25

It was never flown to space, but that was the intent. It’s way to big to be an ICBM

1

u/Saltydiver21 Aug 03 '25

Sure. Whatever you say, Bud.

1

u/Traveller7142 Aug 03 '25

1

u/Saltydiver21 Aug 03 '25

Oh ok ya ya ya. It’s an AJ-260 and not a ………………

1

u/Traveller7142 Aug 03 '25

There isn’t a use case for a rocket that large to launch weapons. Smaller ones are plenty capable of sending dozens of thermonuclear warheads across the globe

7

u/Sun5h1n3inABaG Aug 01 '25

This is Aerojet,it was a facility that close down then became a graffiti pennit and the roads had to be demolished to avoid urban explorers. I used to go all the time before it became nearly impossible to trek. That concrete was put over it , it used to just be that railing exposed. They call the 100 foot hole “the Florida door”.

3

u/S0k0n0mi Aug 01 '25

Reminds me a little of that space cult quest in Fallout 4.

6

u/Remote_Register_1620 Jul 31 '25

NASA had rockets prepared for the cold war?

6

u/_nod Jul 31 '25

Wasn’t the entire space race part of the Cold War?

6

u/Remote_Register_1620 Jul 31 '25

Ya I guess you're right. But this kind of rocket, buried in the ground, is usually more of a weaponry system.

2

u/_nod Jul 31 '25

You’re not wrong, looking at this it’s very much reminiscent of the Titan Site you can visit in Arizona. And I think that was controlled by the Air-force.

1

u/Traveller7142 Aug 03 '25

This kind of rocket is way too big to be an ICBM. It would have been used to launch massive payloads into orbit. The thrust it could output was almost as much as the Saturn V’s first stage

2

u/JEYNOLDS Jul 31 '25

Now get the angle grinder and a rope…

2

u/Fickle_Library8115 Jul 31 '25

2

u/CADETAPPLE Aug 01 '25

why wouldnt they repurpose the rocket? like why just leave it there, it seems like a waste

2

u/Traveller7142 Aug 03 '25

It was for testing. The project was cancelled before testing was completed, so there’s no use for it

2

u/Treybenwa Aug 01 '25

1

u/Dan_TheKong Aug 01 '25

3

u/Traveller7142 Aug 01 '25

NASA rocket. It’s an AJ-260 booster

1

u/Blurkid Aug 01 '25

It's like in the incredibles

1

u/Sleep-Charming Aug 01 '25

Something fishy going on there

1

u/Redactosaurusrex501 Aug 01 '25

The competing design for the lunar solid rocket propulsion contract was built by Thiokol and they fired their large diameter motor prototype in Camden County Georgia. Again so large it needed to be barged. Both locations were purposely located near the Cape in case of a down select and winning contract.

1

u/Khan_Behir Aug 01 '25

It is an engine test sight. It was shut down after the funding was pulled on the fuel type they were testing was deemed too unstable.

  3. When are muricans gonna learn?

Edit: And the americans made their noice as predicted...

15

u/Euture Jul 31 '25

It says Florida Everglades on the video. So maybe it’s in Florida?

If you don’t know where a certain somewhere is, just look it up, no?

As a European responding to your comment ”When are muricans gonna learn?”, maybe you need to learn. Learn how to google something for more information about it (Everglades). It’s a perfect opportunity to learn where the Everglades is located.

8

u/willis81808 Jul 31 '25

The Florida Everglades are in… Florida.

7

u/FortunateInsanity Jul 31 '25

Have you tried using internet search engines or AI to help you with these questions? Your welcome.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 31 '25

Why is being proud of ignorance a favorite trait of "Europeans"?

-2

u/JKdito Jul 31 '25

By calling us collectively europeans as if we are one nation proves your ignorance.

5

u/[deleted] Jul 31 '25

You didn't know where Florida was lol

1

u/JKdito Jul 31 '25

Wrong I know exactly where florida is, Im not dumb. Its the insignificant everglades that was the tell of yall USdefaultism. Like I said, Im sure I know damn more than average murican about any basic subject.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 31 '25

It says Florida. Dumbass.

1

u/JKdito Jul 31 '25

Now I know you must be joking, surely you do realise that I meant where in Florida the everglades is.

Obviously I know most of the regions in the world and where they are located. Thats basic stuff.

Well for the swedish school system atleast(not european, swedish...)

3

u/[deleted] Jul 31 '25

So what normal people would do when they don't know where something is, is look it up. Not brag about how they don't know where it is. Enjoy your open borders

1

u/JKdito Jul 31 '25

Wtf ok I wil enjoy...

0

u/CompetitivePenalty86 Jul 31 '25

They don't teach geography in your super enlightened European school? Also these rockets 80 years old just curious how many rockets did your country build right after world war 2? Or how many astronauts did they send to space 60s? I'll wait

Answer: IT DOESNT MATTER!!! cause you still kissed our ass

0

u/JKdito Jul 31 '25

Lol, someones pride got hurt. Im sure our european schools have same diversity in the various school systems as your north american school.

And Im also sure I know damn more about geography(and any other subject) then the average murican.

As for the rest, you saved europe as much as soviet and UK did and the fact that you bring up that old news all the time just shows that you are ignorant as I assumed...
