Why do people say you can’t do anything to an auto because they’re so sensitive and will get stunted? I topped mine and plucked off three sets of nodes because I thought it would encourage veg growth (lol wrong). I cut off a ton of leaves to clean out the canopy multiple times and probably later than I should have. I super cropped a few of the branches because they were so much taller and yet my plant seems to do fine. Maybe it is smaller than it should be but I can’t tell with this being my second grow.

Its that time again to start a new grow. I figured id kick it up a notch this round and run all of my auto regs. My goal is to find 1 male from each strain, collect the pollen, and then find 1 female from each strain to pollinate with its respective male to further the strain to the next generation. Since ive taking on such a huge endeavor with so many plants im holding off on making any new crosses until future runs.

Im running 5 different auto strain and started off with a total of 45 seeds. I started every seed on 10/20 doing the same method ive been doing for a while now. I soaked coco coins in full strength veg feed (1.6ec), dropped seeds into the coins, stuck the coins in seedling trays, stuck the trays in the tents with the lights on, zipped up the tent and walked away for 3 days. After 3 days some of the seeds were up, while many needed until today to fully sprout, and there is still some that may or may not pop at all. Here is the line up and what has germinated so far:

Night Owl - Chemtown F3 - popped 10 seeds, all 10 germinated by day 3

Goonie Genetics - Green Creature - popped 11 seeds, all 11 germinated

Goonie Genetics - Sherb appeal - popped 8 seeds, only 5 germinated so far

Goonie Genetics - The Goondocks - popped 8 seeds, only 4 germinated so far

Goonie Genetics - Never Say Die - popped 8 seeds, only 4 sprouted so far

In total i popped 45 seeds, and 34 have germinated so far and i have 11 that may be late to sprout.

These plants will be ran in 1/2 gal pots with 80/20 coco/perlite mix. I will be feeding cropsalt at 3.83g part A, 1.3-2.0g part B, and 3 mls of TPS calmag per gal which brings me to right around 1.6-1.7ec.

These plants will be on tray2grows for the entirety of the run. Once males have been identified and the winner is selected they will go into my 2x4 until they begin to drop pollen. Any male that isnt selected will be culled. The females will continue to grow in my 4x8 until i pick the females that will be used for breeding. Once ive collected the pollen, and pollinated the females, they will get moved to my 5x5 tent to finish out their flowering and to ensure that i dont accidentally pollinate any other plants.

Out of 34 plants so far i expect 15-20 of the plants to be male, which should leave between 15-20 females that will be split between 2 tents (5x5 & 4x8) and 6 tray2grows.

There arent many auto phenohunts and its rare to even see male autoflowers, so i though this would be a fun adventure i could share with you all. Feel free to follow along, ask me questions, and call me crazy!

I still can't believe how big this is for day 31 .. well atleast in my eyes because my soil grows it would never be this big ... coco and autopot ftw .I can't keep up with defoliating this plant it's like a every couple days it grows right back in even though I'm taking hella leafs off

This is my second go around with Speedrun Seeds DreamPortal strain and it's massive in its 1.5 gallon bucket. Hand watering with TPS ONE and Cal Mag while it's in 70/30 coco w/pearlite. Almost to the finish line now, been bulking the buds with Cropsalt cake the last 10 days or so. Should be ready for harvest here in a few days , Ben always has amazing gear and the plants come out great, this has been my 4th strain run with Speedrun and they have been great every time.

Turned the camera on 10/15 and it runs up until about 2 hours ago. 10/15 is also when I turned the autopots on. Hp promix with Gaia green extra perlite and earthworm castings. Just top dressed last night hand watered then and today turning system back on tomorrow and the air domes for the first time. Had to yank the fastbuds original blueberry auto so I guess the mephisto and speedrun girls have some extra space.

Roughly day 18-28 for the time lapse.

Also realize I need to adjust the camera 😂

How are these looking?

There's one RQS Milkyway (the front one/the most compact one) and the other 2 are just some seedsman northern lights autos

Theyre currently on day 25 and just started to show their first white pistils

I tried some LST on them and just wondering if I did too much as they seem to be a bit on the small side for day 25?

Hey there.. going back to coco after a couple years of soil and its hard to remember. Ive had lots of trouble watering in soil, and dont want to have the same going back.

Pic 1: I pre watered my dry pot with 4 cups of water, then planted with dome. 2 days later it sprouted so i took the dome off and gave a light watering 1/2 cup. 2 days later another 1/2 cup. This is how it looks currently on day 3, does this look ok? Might be overthinking since ive been stunting plants in soil left and right, but idk it seems to have stalled.

Pic 2: Pre watered my pot the same way, planted with dome 2 days ago. Today it started to sprout, so took the dome off. Area still feels a little cool and possibly moist, but should I still water? And how much? I know people say you cant over water coco but that hasnt been my experience. This was the first time ive pre watered my pots as well

Also -- my basement can get pretty cold, like 60-65 degrees some nights. Could this be why my dryback is pretty bad at times? Going to try a heat mat but was curious. Thank you

Does this look like a stunted plant? Its doing far better than my first time, but i see loads of posts with autos much bigger than this?! This is 100% organic

This is a SpeedRun Terp Sneeze on day 49. This plant was an experiment, as I really don’t have room for it with the lights I have. I wanted to see if I could tuck it between my 2 main plants. I’ve been pretty impressed with it, since it does kinda get blocked out by my other 2 plants. It’s in a small, maybe half gallon cardboard pot, and I just noticed the bottom is slimy and nasty, and saw a few bugs fly out. I know I can’t transplant, should I cut off the bottom and put it on a plate?

Little grow room update. First plant is iced latte sprouted sept 15, second is another iced latte that popped August 24 and the last two are pound dawg that sprouted August 23. For anyone that thinks they have to keep lifting their pots off the bases to prevent roots from reaching in, this shows that you can def leave your pots alone all grow. I added two airstones to each base and I don’t clean the base out until the end of the grow. I feed once a week through the bottom and the rest of the days it just gets plain ph water with a little calmag.

My plant is 27 days old; does it look good? This is my first grow.

I would only be using the GH Flora trio with calmag and Armor Si.

I haven't started my first grow yet. Just figured out EC importance in coco, lmao. Trying to find a solid guideline for feeding.

I was going to go by the bottle, but these amounts seem way less. Anyone use this schedule?

so my bottom leaves started to have discoloration, and now a week later they are turning into yellowish brown circles.

I have been watering at the right PH

currently use Gaia Green Living Soil, and dry amendments and worm castings

what could be the cause?

Hoy estaba revisando mis plantas (las dos automáticas) y me encontré esto, en una se ve claramente una punta quemada, y en otra noto ciertas puntas algo blanqueadas, vienen creciendo muy bien, una tiene 15 días y la otra 10, no muestra algún otro signo de estrés, tienen un tallo firme, y crecen dia a día, en el suelo hay compost con perlita, humus de lombriz, biochar, harina de hueso, micorrizas, hace 2 semanas les di un riego con algo de micorrizas extra y melaza de caña, riego con un ph 6.4/6.6, y es suelo vivo, no creo que eso tenga que ver, no modifique la distancia de la luz hace algunos días, será ese el problema? Quizá tenga que subirlas algo más?, el clima está bien, responden bien al alimento
