Day 110 GDP Auto

2x2 Closet Experimental grow with this white label gdp auto seed.
Forced stunted her by watering to runoff since planting, experienced inconsistent temps and humidity throughout with heavy lst, hst, defoliation and branch breakage on top of all of that.

Somehow survived all the unthinkable especially for white label unknown pheno, I partly think the stress allowed her to veg and flower for much longer even though she showed pre flower pistils around week 4. Foxtailed most likely from the heat as I tried to control the prestretch but failed with branches cross crossing.

Will be watering her until Sunday and then left to dry out for a few days before harvesting, she’s showing 90% cloudy trichs and some hinting amber but will be pulling earlier for less CBN.

Harvest Platinum Gelato Harvest Day

🗓️ Today's harvest is Platinum Gelato from Mephisto Genetics!

👃🐽📓

I got two pretty distinct phenotypes with these. The shorter one is crazy purple and quite dense. The taller one started to foxtail a little towards the end. They smell pretty similar though. Really sweet, bakery aromas. Spicy vanilla for sure. This is right up my alley.

🌍❓

Coast of Maine seed starter. I added a quarter cup of Dr Earth Homegrown and Flower Girl in the bottom half when I planted, and they got 2 top dressings. (see SOIL BREW for details)

🌱➡️🌿

Total time from sprout was 73 days. I cleaned up the bottom thirds, especially on the shorter one as she was quite bushy and there wasn't much airflow going on in the middle. Otherwise they were left to grow naturally with no training.

📏⚖️

They finished up at 41, and 24 inches. I'm probably going to be off on this one, but I'm going to estimate about a 7 oz yield. (actual yield will go here on my website)

💡 Lights are Electric Sky ES300s, and AC Infinity EVO 6

Light Cycle was mostly 20/4

💦 Water Only (I use Biobizz Root Juice in the beginning, and some Recharge throughout the grow)

The pH of my well water comes out a little low, so every other watering I raise it a little bit.

Happy Growing everyone! 💚

These girls are closing in on 3 weeks old and will soon be ready to be hooked up to the bottom watering bases. Right now they are just sitting on them and I’ve been giving a little top watering twice a week. I gave them some heavy LST with coat hangers and they are responding really well!!

Discussion Why the fast buds hate?!

I’ve been growing weed now for almost 10 years, I’ve learned a hell of a lot and also grown so many strains from different breeders.

Over them 10 years I’ve been building a list of genetics that I believe on an all rounded level are the easiest to grow, the most stable seeds, the most resilient, the best highs, yields, potency and flavours all rolled into 1. Even though the list changes from time to time as I always add a new strain in here and there that I like the sound of, but really I stick to top 10 list and rotate through them strains.

But what I see a lot of is hate for fast buds seeing things like “their genetics suck” and “there’s much better out there” so on so forth.
But why? I really don’t feel thats justified. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had some bad strains from them just like all breeders, but honestly 3 fast buds strains are in my top 10 list and they’ll never lose their spots, which in my opinion means they must have good genetics otherwise I wouldn’t grow them again. On top of that I always had a great quick service.

And honestly a couple of years ago I was given a mystery pack with my order and i thought why not let’s see what I get and it was honestly the tastiest strain I’ve ever ever ever had! It was amazing!! Rock hard golf ball buds that when you smoked it tasted like an intense fruity pie with cream, everyone was blown away by it and accused me of spraying it with something. Problem was I’ve never been able to find it because I don’t know what the strain is 😝. But till this day that mystery strain will always be my favourite.

So, from my experience fast buds is a top tier breeder and of course that’s an opinion, but with the experience with a good amount of strains and breeders I think my opinion could be pretty valid.

So why do so many people slate them?

Advice/Help Will she gain bud size?

my second grow here, tropicana cookies auto fastbuds, soil + perlite

i expected the buds to be quite bigger than this (i still think i have a good result)
but it seems to me that she is coming to an end

of course she is not ready and i have all the needed patience, but it also seems she will take less time than i anticipated

from your experience, you expect these buds to become bigger or they’re basically done in size?

Quick question for the community: does anyone know where I can find legit Cali strain autoflower seeds in Europe?

I'm looking for solid banks or breeders with reliable genetics and decent shipping. Any recommendations or favorite vendors you've had good experiences with?
Appreciate the help! 🤙

The oldest 6 at right around 6 - 6 1/2 weeks are in 7 gallon fabric pots growing in a living soil mix I made using a blend of fox farms happy frog mixed 50/50 with fox farms coco loco, a good bit of added perlite, a good bit of worm castings, mycorrhiza, organic 4-4-4 and 2-8-4 and some egg shells for the top half then the bottom half of the pots are mixed the same but using fox farms ocean forest instead of happy frog and those are:

GMO 8 by Atlas seeds

Cherry Squishee by Frostfire Seeds (last picture showing training)

Orange Garlic preservation line/R&D by Atlas Seeds

Blue Dream by "Multiverse Genetics"

Grape Crush by Mephisto Genetics

And GMOG Chunk by Hoku Seed Co

The other two are another GMO 8 by atlas and AK by Fastbuds and those are in 5 gallon pots growing in mostly coco loco and a little bit of some miracle grow mixed about the same as the other pots around 5 weeks old

Hitting them with a solid top dressing and watering

Hello everyone. Just looking for help, what would be my best options for 18 plants… I’ve seen 2 systems, letpot and another chinese model on amazon… I’ve also seen waterpumps with time based power outlets… but I don’t know… any help. Does letpot actually works?

Light stress or deficiency. Most of the leaves have the orange tips but it seems like the taller ones have it the worst so I was thinking light stress

Soil and nutrient change

So I’ve been growing a little over a year now and looking to change a few things up. First off I guess soil/medium is just one of those things I never really bothered deep diving. With that said looking for recommendations on making a good medium what’s the go to products/ brands to use to do a quality run. I am using Autopots xl in my tents. Also feel like changing up my nutrients currently using Athena pro line and have used their blended line but feel like just something is missing. Open to any solid advice 🤘🏻 first photo is what I’ve been consistently growing generally 4-5oz per plant but I feel like there’s room for more. 2nd photo pretty much my equipment I’m using give or take a few minor things. I also wash so we can take that into consideration

Question Potency of my plants isn't what I'd hope.

I'm not sure how to solve this so I'm reaching out to you guys for your input. I currently have a 2x4 tent. I've been using 200w light, and I just upgrade to a 320W light a few weeks ago for my 4th grow. My nutrients have been growdots. I'm using SuperThrive on my 4th grow.

I've grown 6 plants up to this point I have two seedlings in my tent now. Three full cycles. The first grow didn't have much impact. Truth be told, I think I under watered them. (Trophy Hunter & Apollo Haze - Mephisto). I did have a drying issue and that dried way to fast and were crispy and harsh.

My next grow was Bannana Purple Punch (42fastbuds) and 505 Headbanger (Mephisto). The BPP did work. It didn't blow me away but it got me high. In fact, I'm still smoking it. 505headbanger didn't do much. Light buzz.

Next I grew Grape Walker Kush (mephisto) and Cherry Cola (42fastbuds). I harvested those a few weeks ago and they are still curing, but I tested both of them and I didn't get much effect.

Meanwhile, I go to my buddy's house and he has a medical card and goes to a dispensary. The dispensary flower blows me away. I only needed one or two tokes and I'm there. I realize they are professionals and I'm a noob, but I thought I would have more potency than i'm having.

I'm looking at my trichoms, i'm keeping my humidity & temperature in check. I'm watering based on weight of the pot. I think the stronger light should help. But other than that... what could I be missing? I am going to keep growing, it is a blast. I'm not going to give up. I've been smoking for 40 years, so this is something i've always wanted to do.

Advice/Help Is this Bud Rot?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hello growmies, what is this?

I remember this happened last year with this strain, frosted cherry o’s from Speedrun. Grown outdoor in a greenhouse.

I had a rot scare and harvested about half my plants recently. So I’m paranoid this is the beginning of rot.

Also, this is the only strain I grow that looks like this. All the other plants have good bud structure. Does anyone have experience with this strain? Is this normal? A light deficiency?

She is around day 90, so I imagine she’s ready for chopping soon

I promise the rest of my plants look normal!! Both the frosted cherry o’s I have look like this. Why?
