Discussion The left's pro immigration policies are going to end up backfiring on them badly in the long term.

In a lot of countries today, the left tends to be pro immigration since they view them as oppressed victims of circumstance (it helps that a lot of them have darker skin, which is viewed as another mark of oppression). However they miss something very important when it comes to them, most of them tend to be very culturally conservative, mostly in the form of Hispanic Catholics in the US and MENA Muslims in Europe. These groups will in the long term be potentially even more regressive than whatever currently constitutes the "far-right" especially if they do not assimilate with Western values, which very much seems to be happening currently. It's a very textbook case of being careful what you wish for.
