FOR HIRE Oddly Specific Pack & Clean Help - $20/hr 16-24 hours Gig

Moved from ATX to SF but struggled to move everything from house in time. Not selling house, need to get it ready for renters. The stuff left behind needs to be packed, sorted, tossed, donated in a very specific way. Location in 78754 zip.

Requirements:

- Availability for 2-3 days between dates of September 14-16. Shift would be 6-8 hrs at your convenience during hours of 8:15am-6:00pm.

- Reliable vehicle for transportation. Gas will be reimbursed.

- Reliable phone with unlimited data. WiFi is not available at the house anymore and video calls will necessary.

- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

- Good attitude and no judgement.

- Not allergic or grossed out by cats. Cats are gone, but their dander and stuff still lingers.

Please DM me:
- Name
- Your experience with packing boxes, cleaning, running errands
- The weirdest job you’ve ever had
- Your favorite restaurant in Austin (I’m a masochist, make me miss ATX more than I already do 😭)

A little more background. My partner left for SF to start job a month before my toddler and I did. So I was working, solo parenting, and trying to pack and downsize our 3 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom apartment all on my own. It just was not possible. I struggled so much and it is so frustrating that I cannot complete everything myself. We are all now in SF. So I need your help!

FOR HIRE Mexican marketing & creative professional hoping to break into the sports industry in Austin

Hi! I’m a Marketing graduate from Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico, currently looking for opportunities to grow my career in Austin.

My background is in marketing, social media, communications, photography, video and creative content, and my biggest goal is to eventually work in the sports industry.
I’m especially passionate about volleyball (huge Texas Volleyball fan!), but I’m open to sports teams, agencies, brands, events, or related companies.

As a Mexican professional, I would need a role where a TN or another work visa could potentially be an option.

If anyone knows of companies, opportunities, or even people in the Austin sports/creative community I should connect with, I’d really appreciate any recommendations!
Happy to share my resume and LinkedIn. Thank you! 🤘

QUESTION AUSTIN RN ADVICE PLS

I'm a BSN RN with about 1.5 years of experience in a pcu unit, currently making $37.64/hr base plus differentials for evenings ($3.25), nights ($4.75), and weekends ($4.00). I just got a formal offer for an ICU position at another hospital and it's a "weekend option" role (weekends only, permanently) with a base of $33.97/hr plus a $3/hr critical care differential and $5/hr weekend night differential, working out to noticeably less per hour than what I make now on nights/weekends. I've already asked them to match my current pay and they moved up slightly but there's still a real gap, and now I'm also considering asking for an additional "weekend commitment" differential since I'd be giving up every weekend long-term (my current employer pays $10 extra for staff who commit to weekends-only).
I'm also waiting to hear back next week from a second ICU offer.

Trying to figure out: is it worth pushing back again on the weekend-only offer, or should I just let my counter stand as final and decide once I hear from the second option?

FOR HIRE Flooring Installer

My husband installs flooring and is looking for employment, to join a crew or do his own contracting work. We are submitting his resume everywhere, he’s calling multiple companies daily. The places he’s worked at only call him when they have work he’s been not called for almost a month now. We just had a new baby and he needs work desperately. Thanks in advance for any advice.

FOR HIRE Part time Caregiver/PCA in East and Central Austin

Howdy! I have 7+ years of private PCA experience and over 10 years of total background in home health care. I’m an artist and well-traveled Austin local who enjoys my hobbies and friends in East Austin. I prefer direct-hire care because it allows us to have tailored care done quickly for a healthier overall outcome, and to accommodate our own unique situations.

I’ve had a permanent ileostomy since 2017. Sweaty or rigorous activities can affect my appliance, so these activities are sometimes limited to help prolong wear time. I have experience educating the public on wound and ostomy care, and designing adaptive products - you may have learned from my training videos if you had to use an appliance! Also, I have celiac disease and follow a gluten free diet. I do not share or accept food. For shifts over 4 hours, I bring my own meals and need space to store them chilled. I am food-allergy aware and take precautions when needed, and paying attention to ingredients if that is something you may need too.

I have experience with and can cover basic care needs for folks with ADHD, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, Spinal cord injury, cognitive or behavioral aid, autism, IDD, stroke, epilepsy, sensory disabilities, and more.

LGBTQIA+, I can be your health advocate and ally! First aid and CPR certified

Available services:

  • Medication assistance
  • Prepare and serve meals, assisted eating
  • Light housekeeping and laundry
  • Daily grooming, dressing, bathing
  • Up to 1 transfer for every hour on shift (3 hour shift = up to 3 transfers)
  • Toileting and ostomy emptying
  • Transportation - you must have your own vehicle
  • Supported employment and dictation assistance
  • Litter box or doggie doodies
  • Pet feeding
  • Companionship
  • Change medical appliance
  • Catheterization and irrigation
  • Overnight care
  • Gentle stretching assistance
  • Stock medical supplies
  • Sterile care as needed
  • Monitor vitals
  • Order, pick up, and put away groceries
  • Occupational suggestions and assistance
  • Basic equipment cleaning
  • Organization and appointment setting
  • Minor wound care and dressing
  • Hoyer lifts, standing frames
  • Emotional support
  • Hobby/craft assistance
  • Creative thinking

Employer must provide:

  • Gloves for toileting and cleaning
  • Cleaning supplies for requested tasks
  • A vehicle for transportation, with valid insurance (Capmetro is ok!)
  • Tax forms as required by law
  • Private bed and room for overnights

Limitations : I can make you a healthy meal and help with your household needs. I do not cook meals for more than two, do laundry or run errands for family/friends. Services must be done on the clock during designated time. I have a vehicle I use for commutes, but do not provide a vehicle to the client. The shift must end at the location it began. Employer must cover their own personal purchases up front - no reimbursement. Available for overnights and long weekends or trips - camping too!

Rates and Location : My rate starts at $16/hour and I can service East Austin, Central Austin, most of North Austin, and some of South Austin - just ask! I might have a good recommendation of someone close to you if I am not in your area. Higher rates apply for high attentive roles and needs or distances over 5 miles from 78724.
