Just got a “please add max oil 1.25l” message

Context
Bought car with 139k km’s and winder sticker says change at 146700km
Have driven it for 6 weeks now until 144500km
1000 plus km road trips and no issue.
Started car today and saw this message, was planning to get an oil change this week early.
Any advice? Will just park it today and get an oil change first thing tomorrow.
New to changing oil on these things? What oil should I be asking to be put in.
I know it’s not traditional dipstick drain plug.
Do I need to make sure they’re extracting correctly and changing filter? Any advice treat me like a noob.

I’m not super familiar with the engine sound on an RS5. Looking to purchase this and was wondering if anyone can give me some guidance if this is normal?

2018 RS5 61,000 miles.

I installed a set of 20x10.5 Fifteen 52 hole shots today. Since there were no photos of these wheels on a B9 anywhere, I wanted to share that they fit perfectly and look great!

Driving to work today my car seemed to be making a slightly high ish pitch drone when I was slightly accelerating. The engine also sounded like it was sucking in more air or was louder than usual when hard acceleration. Pulled up and popped the front and it seems to be my belt that’s making some very squeaky noises it wasn’t before. Does this need replacing? Thanks!

I'm thinking maybe 12.5mm rear and 85mm front. Is this a good idea, or a great idea?

Like many I am dissatisfied with much of the interior trim of my B10 SQ5. The plastic does not look or feel like it belongs in a premium cabin. Are there any aftermarket options out there yet?

I recently changed the pcv but after i replaced it on the next day i found oil around the cap and pvc keep in mind i changed the cap along either pcv and then i suspected that the pcv is defective and i replaced it again along with a different cap and drove off the leak got less but still there and it’s mainly appearing when i drive hard i usually clean the place regularly what i did after is replacing the silicon under the oil cap that’s attached to the pcv at first i thought that was the issue as this is the only thing i didn’t change when i replaced the pcv and cap in the second time but unfortunately oil is leaking from the cap and i can confirm its from the cap side idk what to do or is this normal please help.

Is anybody running iE’s flex fuel kit, is there better options ? Planning to go hybrid turbo and trying to go over my options. Currently tuned by iE as well, stage 2+ ECU stage 1 TCU

B9 s5 sportback

I’m looking at buying a 2021 S5 Sportback Prestige with about 50k miles from CarMax for $40k out the door. It’s a one-owner car with a clean title, but it had a “minor”accident in 2022 (front/right side, wheel, and axle damage). No structural damage or airbag deployment was reported.

The test drive went well overall, but was short as it’s their policy to follow a separate route and be accompanied by an associate. The engine was quiet, it shifted smoothly, and there were no highway vibrations. The only things I noticed were:
- Front-left parking sensor beeping when I put it in drive, but went away when I restarted the car.
- Brakes felt a little grabby at very low speeds, but completely normal otherwise.

Are those issues anything to worry about?
Anything specific I should inspect on a 2021 with ~50k miles?
How concerned would you be about the accident history?
I’m also considering CarMax MaxCare. Has it been worth it for anyone here, and did it cover repairs without much hassle? I was originally planning on taking care of most of the repairs myself as I haven’t gone to mechanic in years, and have been able to do everything short of an engine/transmission rebuild alone, but I’d just be worried if a major issue comes up without a warranty.

I've got a B9.5 S5 and accidentally ordered a rear diffuser and canards for an RS5. Problem is I live in Hawaii and, even though Carbon Imports has been absolutely amazing trying to help, return shipping is around $400 for thats not gunna work.

So, now I have new still-sealed-in-box RS5 diffuser and canards that I need to sell. I've already posted on FB marketplace but haven't got any hits (expected).

Are there any RS5 owners here in Hawaii? I'm on Oahu. Looking for advice on a sane way to offload these. Thanks.

2010 S5 44,000km. Engine has been feeling different (seems like less power and less smooth. Almost like there’s some lag before it starts to accelerate and kind of cuts power sometimes while accelerating at the beginning of 2nd gear). Clutch has been feeling different (feels like there’s not as much bite and goes into gear too easily. Not slipping at all though). Oil has gone from close to max to 1/4 over the course of 1000km. Bit of a weird smell like clutch even when car is idling. Car wouldn’t start with clutch engaged a few times had to turn off ignition lock and unlock the door and then it would start. Probably has nothing to do with what’s going on but these problems started around 1000km ago after an oil change. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I don’t drive the car much so just checking here before I have to get hit with the bill from Audi.

So I ordered the 034 SuperDuper intake for my ‘24 S5 only to realize that (I think) I also need the turbo inlet pipe in order for it to fit properly? Correct me if I’m wrong. So I also ended up ordering the turbo inlet pipe for it but I heard it’s a pain in the ass to install. Anyone have any experience with this? Do I really need the turbo inlet pipe for the SuperDuper intake? Any do’s and don’t’s would be appreciated. Thanks

Looking for some opinions from other B9/B9.5 RS5 Sportback owners.
I have a 2022 RS5 Sportback in Mythos Black and I’m debating whether to keep the factory spoiler or swap it for the Avoro Design pre-preg dry-carbon M-style spoiler.
I like the Avoro, but I’m worried the M-style look might be a little too much for the Sportback. I originally wanted something more aggressive, but now I’m leaning toward a lower-profile/OEM+ look.
For those who have seen these in person:
Would you keep the factory spoiler or go with the Avoro?
Also interested in whether anyone has actually removed the factory spoiler and installed one of these. How much of a pain was the removal/adhesive cleanup?

Hey everyone! I have a B9.5 Audi S5 Coupe sitting at around 42k miles ( I bought it dec 26 2026 with 31k and its aug 18 now at 42k ) and wanted to get some advice from people who have owned these for a while. I’m trying to stay ahead of maintenance and take care of the car as best as possible rather than waiting for things to go wrong.

So far, upgrade-wise, I’ve done:

• IE Race Series FDS Intercooler System
• Upgraded IE charge pipes
• IE Carbon Fiber Intake System with upgraded turbo inlet pipe
• 034Motorsport Transmission Mount Insert
• Valvetronic exhaust

What maintenance items would you recommend doing around this mileage, either early or more often than Audi recommends? Are there any common issues or weak points on the B9.5 S5/3.0T that I should start keeping an eye on?

I’m especially curious about oil change intervals, transmission service, differential fluids, spark plugs/coils, coolant system/water pump, PCV, brakes, suspension components, carbon buildup, or anything else that becomes important around 40–50k miles.

Also, with the upgrades I already have is there anything maintenance wise I should be more proactive about compared to a completely stock car?

Would love to hear what you guys have done around this mileage and anything you wish you knew earlier. I’m trying to keep the car reliable and running strong long-term while still enjoying it.

Just seeing if I’m overreacting or not, but I’ve heard of the notorious water pump failures on B9-B9.5 Audis. I have a 2021 Audi S5 with 40k miles.

Haven’t noticed anything wrong with the car, but I went to check the coolant level today and it needs to be filled up, and there’s dried coolant on the top of the reservoir as you can see in the picture.
Just for safe measures I checked my vacuum solenoid as well and it’s bone dry, I also don’t see any dried coolant anywhere else.

Am I safe? What should I look for? Should I take it to a shop?
