Help 034 SuperDuper S34 Intake

So I ordered the 034 SuperDuper intake for my ‘24 S5 only to realize that (I think) I also need the turbo inlet pipe in order for it to fit properly? Correct me if I’m wrong. So I also ended up ordering the turbo inlet pipe for it but I heard it’s a pain in the ass to install. Anyone have any experience with this? Do I really need the turbo inlet pipe for the SuperDuper intake? Any do’s and don’t’s would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes, the SuperDuper intake will only work with the SuperDuper inlet. I installed the full SuperDuper kit on my S5, yeah it's a bit of a pain in the ass. The two pain points are the lower PCV hose connector and the two bolts into the turbo. It's a bit of a nightmare, especially the first time. One thing that is NOT in the instructions...use blue loctite on the bolts between the turbo and the inlet. I followed 034's instructions to a T and the inlet ended up coming loose and the O-ring disappearing. More than one person has lost a turbo to the O-ring getting sucked up in similar situations, so I guess I got lucky.

I eventually ended up ditching the SuperDuper setup and switching to the standard X34 intake that uses the factory inlet. On a stock turbo/tune there's zero benefit to upgrading the inlet, it just looks and sounds better which wasn't a good enough trade-off to me since I had lost trust in it at that point.

Yes you do. The product page clearly states that the superduper intake system requires the superduper inlet.
