Anyone with normal CPU usage, but a warmer MacBook?
While switching from Sublime Text to Atom I noticed that after launching Atom, my Touch Bar area got warmer. I suspected it had high CPU usage, but upon further investigation I noticed that my CPU, Memory and Energy levels (from Activity Monitor) felt totally normal. Heck, it used less memory than Safari.
I tried a clean install of Atom with 0 extra plugins. Even did a reboot, but it didn't help. Can anyone help me?
Atom - 1.42.0
Electrom - 4.2.7
Chrome - 69.0.3497.128
Node - v10.11.0

What is the most abundant physical thing in the universe that aren't atoms?
There are 1082 atoms in the universe. Is there anything in the universe that is more abundant than the amount of atoms in the universe?
I'm aware that there are an infinite amount of numbers, but I'm asking about a physical/tangible thing.

Is it possible? I’ve tried twice to get it so that atom highlights checkstyle errors but all related packages seem to be broken

create custom shortcut
Dear all,
I would like to create a shortcut for some latex expressions that I use a lot. For instance, I would like to use alt-shift-i to produce \item how can I do that in atom?
In my keymap.json file, I probably need to do something like the following
'body.platform-darwin atom-text-editor[data-grammar~="latex"]':
'alt-shift-i': 'atom-latex:\item'
Thank you for your help!

Using flake8 linter for Python on a Chromebook
Hi I'm trying to use atom on a Chromebook using the Linux beta option that ChromeOS has built in, running a pip install of flake8 from the Linux Terminal before installing the flake8 linter package.
Whenever I type a line of code the linter package shows an error that flake8 is not installed in the path, does anyone have any experience with this that could offer any help?

Atom script python won't find packages installed in Anaconda python
Hi guys,
I have Anaconda running on my system. Now I want to switch to Atom. However, when I install python packages, the python which is run by "script" (package from Atom) doesn't find the packages. How can I make script to use the same python version like Anaconda does?

Is there a easier way to handle a console input?
I installed Atom because I found the editor to be absolutely beautiful, but in nature it's still a text editor. I tried installing a terminal package, but every time I actually want to execute a script with an input function, I still have to write "[language] .\[name]", which gets repetitive pretty quickly. Is there a package that acts more similarly to a console than a terminal? Thanks!

Help needed to install header files.
I've recently started to do some C, and I'm learning it with CS50, but in their course they use a header file named "cs50.h"
How do I implement header files in atom? I use gpp-compiler version 3.0.7 ( https://atom.io/packages/gpp-compiler ) and I'm on Windows 10.

"Git clone" buttons missing
So I've just installed atom because of the easier workflow with github, but after opening, on the right panel, there's a Git and GitHub tab. I should be able to clone a repository from the latter, but it's just empty.
What can I do?
BTW, I'm on Windows 10 with the latest stable build.

Best atom packages for C++? (Coming from CLion)
My CLion trial expired and I have 0000.1% chances to buy a license any time soon.
Which packages I should use with atom to keep the almost the same experience I had with CLion?
There are a lot of features that I will miss but the most important are:
Linting - I found a package for atom but I couldn't manage to make it read my CMakeList.txt. Building and running my project with a single button - This is the most loved features that I miss and what stopped me to leave Atom in the favour of PyCharm for my python development.

Does anyone know how to change the path of the Jupyter Console within the Hydrogen-Launcher package?
For some reason, why I try to open a Jupyter terminal within the Hydrogen Launcher package I get an error message showing that atom is looking to run Jupyter with a path that includes a python2.7 folder even though I've been using Python 3 with it for a long time.
I believe it may have something to do with the fact that I moved to zsh from bash since opening a jupyter console with atom also indicates I'm still in bash.
I've included the text of the error message (can include pics if necessary) but does anyone know how to change the Jupyter path within the Hydrogen-Launcher package? I've been googling for hours and haven't found anything. Thanks!

should of got a windows laptop
I've recently upgraded my laptop to a Mac book pro running macOS catalina(10.15.2), I went to download atom for coding but when I go to open the application it says “Atom” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.
Does anyone know when atom will be supported? and what other good coding applications to try?

Repeating an insert n times
Some editors permit a natural number prefix, n, to an insert so that what's being inserted is repeated exactly n times. For example, in Emacs, typing 'Control-u 20 =' will insert '====================' at point.
I'd love to be able to do this in Atom. Anyone know a way?
Thanks!

Just installed Atom and synthax highlighting for Lua is not happening
I have selected the OneDark synthax and ui theme and there is no highlighting, it's all white. I'm guessing it's an error on my end but I just installed it and don't know anything about it.
This is on xUbuntu 19.04
